"Alright."
Yu Ting handed her bank card to the old man.
Whether or not a jade would be produced was not her primary concern.
Having spent an hour at the jadeite gambling market today, she didn’t find the money-spending experience particularly satisfactory. She had bought more than a dozen large raw stones, which cost her little more than 20 million in total.
The casino uses much more money.
The difference was too considerable.
Following Yu Ting’s payment, six large raw stones were neatly placed next to her.
When her special assistant came back, he saw this scene, his expression froze a bit, and then he let out a deep sigh.
The CEO, not knowing how much money she had splurged, had not produced a decent jade or gemstone from the raw stones she bought, yet, she continued to buy!
And she purchased so much!
After a moment of rumination, the assistant instinctively moved a piece of large raw stone onto the pushcart and continued to the cutting area.
He had no idea how many times he had been shuttling between the stall and the stone cutting area.
The special assistant felt that the wheels of the pushcart were about to start a fire from all the friction.
"What’s your name, girl? You seem to fancy jade gambling a lot," asked the old man calmly, without the joy and excitement that ordinary people would show upon receiving more than 20 million. Very composed.
"My surname is Yu." said Yu Ting, in a bland tone.
"Give me your contact number, and I’ll let you know whenever I get any large raw stones," the old man chuckled. He took out a business card from his pocket that had his phone number on it and handed it to Yu Ting.
In truth, large raw stones are difficult to sell.
Jade is naturally rare, especially in large raw stones where you might only find a small piece of jade and the rest is waste, leading to the unnecessary spending of a lot of money.
Meeting someone like Yu Ting who buys large, raw stones was indeed difficult.
If it can’t be sold anyway, might as well sell all the large, raw stones to her.
Unexpectedly receiving a business card, Yu Ting was slightly taken aback. She politely thanked him, glanced at the card, and saw the name written on it.
Zhou Guorui, with his phone number following his name.
After getting a strong impression of his details, Yu Ting put the card carefully inside her bag.
"Jade is out! Jade is out!"
Excited shouts came from the back. The incident of cutting out jade indeed stirred up excitement in the packed jadeite gambling scene, causing several people to follow and yell out excitedly.
Even more excited was the special assistant, seeing that the host of large raw stones his boss had bought had finally produced jadeite, he too felt happy for her. He quickly ran back and told her, "Boss Yu, one of the six raw stones you bought just produced jadeite."
Upon hearing this, Yu Ting turned back to look, raising her eyebrows slightly.
She had not expected to find jadeite after playing only for a couple of hours.
Happy?
What’s there to be happy about? She spent more than 20 million and bought dozens of large raw stones, weighing more than three hundred kilograms, and only a small piece of jadeite was produced.
There was nothing to be happy about. It was only of a minimal collection value.
Zhou Guorui, who sat next to her, was not surprised at all; it appeared as if this was within his expectations, after which he simply continued to nibble on his sunflower seeds.
With a sense of novelty, Yu Ting exchanged few words with Zhou Guorui, bid him goodbye, and went towards the cutting area.
As she got closer and closer, the crowd of spectators grew larger, and it was only after squeezing through did she finally get to see that raw stone on the cutting table. Inside its cut, there was a vibrant green, full of color and extremely transparent.
"Whoa! The jade quality is not bad at all!"
"Miss, where did you buy this piece of raw stone?"
