Chapter 347 - 346: ’Most of the time, I’m thinking of you.’_1

Yu Ting gave him a definite answer, then recounted the day’s events, from the big plans to expand the company and increase workload, to acknowledging that they were understaffed, to sharing minor, trivial things.

The woman spoke about these mundane details in a casual and upbeat tone.

Lu Nanchen listened attentively, responding every now and then, but his focus mainly on driving.

When Yu Ting finished speaking, there was a momentary pause, and silence returned to the car.

"What about you, what have you been doing at home?" Yu Ting asked back, noticing that she had not received any text notifications for grocery purchases today.

Today’s groceries were yet to be purchased.

As it was only the afternoon, he’d probably pick them up in the evening.

When left for too long, the vegetables would not be fresh anymore.

Lu Nanchen’s dark eyes were focused on the road ahead as he thought back to what he had spent the day doing at home.

Waking up.

Thinking about his wife.

Doing chores.

Thinking about his wife.

Cooking.

Thinking about his wife.

Reading.

Thinking about his wife.

...

"Thinking about you, mostly."

Meanwhile, in Nanshan City, another reality show was also in full swing.

Over the past few days, the 40 trainees on the show had started to get to know each other, having finished filming the first episode and now gearing up for the second.

The second episode was shot indoors, with the three mentors and 40 trainees gathering in a massive dance studio, their reflections dancing on the pristine glass.

The three mentors stood at the front, from left to right were the singing mentor, a popular female singer named Xiao Xuexue with high chart-topping song sales and widely recognized for her powerful vocals.

She had become famous early on and was a born talent.

The acting mentor was Yu Zijun, who had numerous acclaimed works under his name.

The dance mentor was Sun Shan, a forty-something, who swept almost all of the domestic and some international dance awards.

A few other teachers well-versed in these three areas were also present.

The mentors were responsible for assessing the trainees’ progress, while the teachers were in charge of instructing them.

The theme for the second episode was a mini-segment where mentors picked a random topic for each of the trainees to perform one-by-one.

The draw could be a character, a few lines of lyrics or a short dance segment, each mentor picked six times in total.

Starting with Yu Zijun, who was the first to draw.

Alongside the other two mentors with his hand in the box, he randomly picked one and showed the chosen character to all the trainees.

[Gentle and Learned Senior]

[Freestyle your own lines.]

The trainees, who had crowded around the card, finally dispersed after reading and understanding the character, and began to discuss in small groups about how to act it out.

Seeing as the chosen character was rather simple, as school seniors were common in everyday life.

After giving them five minutes to rehearse, they started a drawing lots to determine the performance order.

Being the 31st performer, Wei Qinghe was far down the order.

In contrast, Zhang Tianbin who drew after him, was the 3rd performer, which was quite early on the list.

Seeing the number ’3’, Zhang Tianbin felt a chill from head to toe, and he immediately grabbed Wei Qinghe, making a pitiful face, "Oh my god, the third one, what rotten luck I have."

Wei Qinghe raised his card with ’31’ written on it, compared it with Zhang Tianbin’s ’3’, glanced back and forth a few times, and then smacked his lips.

"Don’t worry, we differ only by one ’1’."
