The next day.
The long-awaited TV ratings were released in the evening, where "Dreaming Twenty-first Century" ranked third among provincial variety shows with a high rating of 2.57%, breaking the record for the highest rating of the same type of program, marking a good start with a small explosion in the first episode.
The program group and Yu Ting were all very pleased.
After a few days, Jiangqi City, which had fully entered summer, was shrouded in continuous rain. Accompanied by deafening thunder, the overall atmosphere seemed a bit tumultuous.
Yu Ting returned to the set of "Dreaming Twenty-first Century" after a few days of rest. Not long after she arrived with her assistant, a man from the director’s team approached her.
The amiable man said, "President Yu, we will have two new instructors starting this episode."
Changing instructors?
Yu Ting raised an eyebrow at the news.
Only two episodes had been filmed, why the sudden change of instructors?
Yu Ting found it strange but didn’t dwell on it. She didn’t interact much with the other instructors and mainly focused on the dream-chasers. It didn’t affect her significantly, so she didn’t overthink it.
"Changing instructors? Did you replace Wen Shan?" Zhou Guorui, who was approaching from outside, overheard and walked up to them, unconsciously quickening his pace.
"Ah...Master Zhou." The man greeted and then explained, "Yes, the instructors have been changed. Both Mr. Wen and Mrs. Li have been replaced, leaving only you two unchanged."
Upon hearing this news, Zhou Guorui clapped his hands cheerfully. The news of Wen Shan’s departure lifted his spirits greatly, causing his moustache to twitch with delight.
Ecstatic.
"So who are they being replaced with?" asked Zhou Guorui after calming his excitement.
The man from the operational team heard this and replied with a hearty laugh, stating that a little suspense would be kept and the newcomers would be introduced directly later.
He just said that they were two young people.
Zhou Guorui was delighted upon hearing this.
Youth was a good thing, they were easy to communicate with, open-minded, unlike Wen Shan’s obstinacy.
Yu Ting, who had been observing the conversation, didn’t say much. She simply found a spot to sit down, quietly waiting for them to finish preparing before they commence recording the third episode.
As time continued to flow and the afternoon filming time drew near, the number of people at the site increased. Yu Ting sat quietly in the front row of the audience seats next to Zhou Guorui. Amidst hushed whispers, she saw Shen Ruchu, who had meticulously dolled herself up for the occasion.
She was wearing a beige dress, not too flashy with decoration, but rather simple, adopting a certain waist-fixing design. The dress started conservatively at the neck and ended at her ankles, sleeveless.
Probably wanting to look youthful, she chose a dress that was simple but cheeky, having a slight age-reducing effect.
While Yu Ting was observing her, Shen Ruchu noticed Yu Ting too.
Their eyes met, and while in front of Yu Ting, Shen Ruchu casually ruffled her slightly wavy hair.
Yu Ting simply glanced at her before averted her eyes.
After looking, she only had one thought.
The white dress really accentuated the darkness of her skin.
She continued to wait in silence.
Contrary to Yu Ting’s indifference, somebody from the program team had already approached Shen Ruchu to give their greetings.
Shen Ruchu responded with a light smile, occasionally glancing over at Yu Ting. Realizing she had been completely ignored by Yu Ting upon her arrival, she was mildly taken aback.
