Having entrusted Yu Ting to someone else, leaving the reporters in chaos and the man who had vanished after running away, Lu Nanchen got into his car, his hands on the wheel, with an earphone embedded in one ear.
As his foot hit the accelerator, even the car could sense his fury.
He was on a call through his earphone.
After a few rings, the call was connected.
"Hello?"
"It’s me, brother-in-law," Lu Nanchen said coldly.
Something must have happened.
"What’s wrong?" The man, who was outside vacationing, felt his heart pound as he heard Lu Nanchen’s voice.
He knew from his mother that Yu Ting was pregnant. Shouldn’t Lu Nanchen be happy at this time?
Why did he sound like he was ready to eat someone alive?
"Where are you? I’m coming to see you, Yu Ting almost got stabbed today." Lu Nanchen’s hands involuntarily tightened around the wheel as he spoke.
When it came to surveillance and tracking, Yu Ziwen was more experienced.

After Yu Ziwen exclaimed, he gave Lu Nanchen his address.
Lu Nanchen relayed what had happened to Yu Ziwen. Thirteen minutes later, they met face-to-face. Yu Ziwen was living in a small house in a residential compound. When Lu Nanchen arrived, Yu Ziwen was putting on a shirt, button by button, with slippers on his feet and wearing pants appropriate for mobility.
He was evidently prepared to go out.
"Come, sit down and talk," Yu Ziwen suggested as he buttoned his shirt, his face taking on a serious expression.
The fact that Yu Ting had narrowly missed being stabbed in the stomach was no trivial matter.
"What’s your plan?" Lu Nanchen frowned.
"First, inspect the surveillance footage around the company, the nearby intersections, and all the routes entering Jiangqi City, then roughly infer his escape route, and finally capture him silently."
Yu Ziwen listened seriously, nodding in response. Once fully dressed, he went with Lu Nanchen to involve the police in the matter.
The two men worked diligently from nine in the morning until twelve noon. With modern technology, tracking people had become incredibly convenient.
The two first pulled up all the surveillance footage from the entrance of VG Entertainment Company. This provided a basic idea of the man’s appearance, clothing and behavior. They then traced his steps, focusing on the surveillance feeds of all major routes from VG Entertainment and of all exits from Jiangqi City, in case the man fled to another city.
Yu Ziwen, one hand resting on his chin, shifted his gaze among several surveillance videos, rapidly analyzing in his head. Very soon, he was able to pinpoint the man’s destination.
Once the destination was confirmed, Yu Ziwen asked a police officer to replace Lu Nanchen in monitoring the various exits of Jiangqi City. Then, he and Lu Nanchen walked briskly out of the station.
Yu Ziwen drove and Lu Nanchen sat in the passenger seat. They drove as fast as legally allowed. If the speed limit was 60, Yu Ziwen would drive at 57 or 58, fixing the speed at a precise point.
Meanwhile.
On the man’s end.
He had been cruising along well in his car and was now at the edge of Jiangqi City. In just a few minutes more, he could have left the city, but then he noticed the police gathering near the toll booth.
The man clicked his tongue and, in a fit of rage, slammed on his steering wheel, abruptly swapping lanes and exiting the motorway.
