There’s been too much going on at the company these days.
With that in mind, Song Zhan, on the other end of the call, furrowed his brows deeply as he sat in his chair. He let out a deep, long sigh, full of desolation.
He hardly resembled a 22-year-old man.
Deeply burdened by work.
"So who’s lying?" Yu Ting asked after a moment of contemplation.
Song Zhan paused at her question, then said, "It might be the news agency...or...it could also be Tang Siyi lying to us, not wanting to tarnish her image with the company’s higher-ups."
After all, she was just an actor, it wouldn’t be out of the question.
"Give me her contact information, I’ll ask her myself," Yu Ting said.
After Song Zhan acknowledged, he quickly sent Tang Siyi’s phone number to Yu Ting.
Yu Ting looked at the string of digits and promptly dialed the number.
During these rough times, Tang’s phone was ringing off the hook. Yu Ting called several times, each time getting a busy signal. Finally, on the seventh attempt, she got through. A woman’s voice came from the other end, "Hello? Who is this?"
"It’s me, Yu Ting."
"Ah... boss, did you call me about that matter?"
By the end of the sentence, Tang Siyi’s voice had sunk a little, probably indicating her stress and troubles.
"Yes, please tell me in detail about what happened, including your relationship history, just give me a brief summary," Yu Ting cut straight to the chase.
If they can’t come up with a good solution now, Tang Siyi’s reputation among the public would be ruined.
After a brief acknowledgment, Tang Siyi began to recount to Yu Ting everything she had previously told her manager and Song Zhan.
Yu Ting personally calling her was unexpected. Tang Siyi had thought that, given her status, she wouldn’t sympathize nor concern herself with the lower-tier employees’ problems...
With nothing better to do, Yu Ting listened intently. Tang Siyi’s relationship history and experiences seemed fine. She had her first high school relationship, broke up in college due to long-distance, and had another relationship in her third year. After graduation, they split up, and she had been single for a while.
"Have you had any strange occurrences recently? Have you offended anyone?" Yu Ting then proceeded to ask.
This question left Tang Siyi speechless; her voice faltered slightly as she said, "Well...I’m shooting for a drama lately, and the deputy director asked me to come to his hotel room at nine-thirty in the evening to read the script, but I didn’t go..."
"Moreover, he always leans on me and hints at suggestive things."
"He even tried to touch me."
"And asked me if I wanted to be the female lead in some other scripts, that he could use his connections to get me in...as long as...as long as I spend a night with him."
Tang Siyi’s voice wavered as she spoke these words, causing Yu Ting’s brows to furrow, "Why didn’t you tell your agent or Song Zhan about these things?"

Tang Siyi revealed the director’s threat and her own inner reservations.
"Give me his contact information, I’ll have a little chat with him."
