One sentence lifted the weight off Lu Nanchen’s heart.
"The mother is in good condition now and will be transferred to the general ward soon. After a few months of recovery and observation, she can be discharged."
"Congratulations." The nurse said, extending her hand to shake with Lu Nanchen.

"The baby does look a bit like Yu Ting when she was a baby." Yu’s mother suddenly remarked after looking for a while.

Yu Ting, who had been hospitalized for several days after giving birth, moved into a postnatal recovery center and began a life of indulgence.
On the other hand, Lu Nanchen now had a lot more on his plate. The baby was too small and since he didn’t know how to do anything himself, he hired a nanny in the postnatal center to teach him.
The room was heated, so there was no need to worry about the baby catching a chill. The nanny was showing Lu Nanchen how to change a diaper. After the demonstration, she stepped aside to let Lu Nanchen have a go at it.
Standing tall at the foot of the pink crib, dressed in a dark high-collared sweater, the sleeves rolled up to reveal his fair arms, Lu Nanchen looked at Lu Siyu lying inside. He removed the baby’s diaper and, following the steps the nanny just demonstrated, put it back on the baby.
It did go on the first time, but it was terrible.
Lu Nanchen undid the diaper and tried again according to the steps.

Lu Siyu, lying on the pink mattress, watched Lu Nanchen with a puzzled face. His round eyes were not just large but also bright. His skin was much fairer than when he was born.
Yu Ting, enjoying a massage and eating fruit beside them, asked: "What are you doing? Don’t make the baby cry."
"I’m learning how to change his diaper, I’m not very proficient so I’m practicing a few more times." Lu Nanchen replied seriously.
Let’s just say, Lu Nanchen’s learning speed is quite fast. After a few repetitions, he was able to change Lu Siyu’s diaper comfortably and skillfully.
Just as he finished saying it, Lu Siyu started crying.
