As evening approached, the sunset reflected off the glass panes of the VG Building, making it seem less distant and unattainable.
Inside the VG office building, everyone from top to bottom was busy. The quietness made it seem like no one was really speaking, each person dutifully performing their tasks at their workstations, creating an extraordinarily peaceful and harmonious picture.
Compared to Song Zhan, who was busily engaged in editing Weibo (microblogs) and contacting people, Yu Ting had much more free time and was thoroughly competent in delegating tasks.
Her anger had subsided now, and money had been spent. Other than a corner of her office desk where a folder had been casually placed, the rest of the desk was now littered with food. She was sitting in her boss’s chair, contentedly flipping through a folder.
Being a boss was pretty great.

Incoming call: Lu Nanchen.
A phone placed on a desk beside her was ringing. Yu Ting put the folder to one side, one hand holding a fruit tea and the other, a phone.
"Hello? What happened?"
"Something went wrong at the company?"
Although it was a question, Lu Nanchen used a very affirmative tone, making one think he already knew.
"Yeah, a small matter. The problem isn’t terribly severe, we’re currently taking remedial measures," Yu Ting replied honestly. She had forgotten to mention it to him in the blur of their recent arguments.
Uhm.....
"Alright, I am on my way to your company. We’ll discuss it in person," Lu Nanchen stated, though his tone betrayed neither anger nor annoyance.
Was his tone too low?
Puzzled at his response, they quickly ended the call. Yu Ting raised an eyebrow in surprise as Lu Nanchen sounded more like a schoolteacher than a husband. Almost instinctively, she lowered the leg she had been casually dangling.

Shortly after she hung up, Yu Ting was already waiting for Lu Nanchen at the bottom of her office building. Borningly, She stood in a side corridor and nonchalantly kicked at the floor.
The black Land Rover quickly pulled up to the side. After Lu Nanchen parked it in an outdoor parking area, he stepped down from the vehicle, dressed warmly in thick clothing and a black-and-gray-striped scarf. The cold was such that even breaths could produce white mist.
Lu Nanchen’s skin appeared paler against the contrast of his clothing and scarf. His nose was sharp and prominent.
His lips, light pink from the cold, seemed to be begging for a kiss. Standing tall, his presence alone stole the scene, and any lascivious thoughts would only be blasphemy.
Watching Lu Nanchen, Yu Ting led him into the building.
This was the first time he had visited her company.
Nor Lu Nanchen had ever imagined that he would end up visiting his wife’s company someday.
Both of them felt slightly curious about it all.
Yu Ting and Lu Nanchen walked side by side through the lobby of the first floor towards the elevator.
"Good day, President Yu." The employees who were coming and going in the lobby greeted Yu Ting warmly. Then, seeing Lu Nanchen alongside her, their eyes involuntarily revealed amazement. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
This man is simply extraordinary.
And then it made sense to them.
Their lovely boss, President Yu was definitely made for such a handsome man!
The more she thought about it, the more strange the expression of a female employee became.
With her rich work experience, Yu Ting instantly realized the misunderstanding and clarified, "This gentleman is my husband, Mr. Lu."
This statement jolted the female employee back to reality. The lewd smile that had crept on her face due to her prying thoughts quickly disappeared, and her attitude became much more respectful. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Lu."
