Chapter 135 "If you don't marry me, who will you marry?"

Chapter 135 "If you don't marry me, who will you marry?"

The ultimate difference between humans and beasts is that humans can control themselves, while beasts cannot.

Although Su Wanwan's wound has healed, she doesn't like to raise her arm on her own, probably because she hasn't moved much in a while.

People wear more clothes in winter.

Xie Yanning carefully helped Su Wanwan take off her outer clothes.

His gaze fell on the still pink scar on her right lung, and his initial romantic thoughts faded considerably.

To prevent her from catching a cold, he gently pushed her under the hot water and carefully helped Su Wanwan take a bath.

Su Wanwan laughed and placed her hand on his chest: "Don't you want to?"

Xie Yanning pulled her hand down very seriously, "Don't think about things you shouldn't think about."

Su Wanwan: "..."

If it weren't for the changes in his body, she would have thought Xie Yanning had really switched to a vegetarian diet.

"Aren't you feeling unwell?"

"It's uncomfortable," Xie Yanning said. "But your body isn't ready right now, so you can't get excited."

Su Wanwan: "..."

Alright, I should try to be more detached from worldly desires.

We must preserve the green hills, so that we can have firewood to burn in the future.

"If you want it, I'll make it happen when you're better," Xie Yanning said.

"..." She wasn't actually that desperate. "No!"

Xie Yanning chuckled softly, didn't argue with her, and after wiping her clean, quickly rinsed off the foam, changed her into a bathrobe, and dried her hair with a towel.

After pushing the person out, he changed out of his wet clothes and came out in a bathrobe; it all happened in just a minute or two.

Su Wanwan sat obediently in front of the dressing table, waiting for him.

Xie Yanning used a hairdryer to dry someone's hair.

Su Wanwan has very thick and soft hair.

As the wind blew, the air drifted away, and some of it landed on her face.

Xie Yanning gently brushed aside the mirror and looked at her in the mirror.

Su Wanwan has been recuperating well lately; the color she had lost has returned, her face is rosy, and her eyes always seem to be full of affection.

Su Wanwan could naturally see him in the mirror, and then she saw his gaze fall on her right shoulder, which was exposed by her collar.

Pink scars can still be faintly seen there.

Su Wanwan noticed that Xie Yanning's gaze would fall on this spot many times, each time mixed with a sense of guilt and heartache that he himself had not noticed.

The wound hasn't fully healed yet. Once it's completely healed, the scar will fade considerably. With some medication, it should fade to the point where it's barely noticeable.

She didn't want Xie Yanning to think about what happened that day whenever he looked at her.

She herself doesn't have any psychological trauma, but Xie Yanning does.

After drying her hair, Xie Yanning carried her to the bed. "Take a nap first."

It's now Su Wanwan's afternoon nap time.

I'm ordered to sleep at least 12 hours every day.

A while ago, she was fine because she was lacking energy, but now that she sleeps every day, Su Wanwan really can't sleep anymore.

She lay in bed, "But I'm really not sleepy."

"Even if you're not sleepy, you should rest." Xie Yanning didn't allow her to argue. "After you wake up, I'll take you out for a walk."

The winter sun wasn't so strong back then, which was just right.

"Then where are you going?"

"I'm going back to my study to take care of some things." Xie Yanning had fallen behind on a lot of work while taking care of Su Wanwan recently.

Su Wanwan thought for a moment, then patted the side of the bed: "Could you move here to handle this?"

Xie Yanning gently stroked her forehead. "Okay."

He brought his computer over and sat down next to Su Wanwan.

Su Wanwan couldn't lie down any longer, so she sat up, rested her head on his shoulder, and watched him work.

"Could it be a secret that I can't see?" Su Wanwan asked.

“No, I don’t know how,” Xie Yanning replied.

Su Wanwan understood that then it wouldn't be a school-related topic.

The research project Xie Yanning is currently leading has a confidentiality clause, and Su Wanwan will avoid him if she happens to see him working on it.

"That's your company's business, but how come your company doesn't know how to do that? It's worth a lot of money every minute." Su Wanwan didn't believe it; trade secrets are incredibly valuable.

“After we got married, all of this property was jointly owned by us,” Xie Yanning said.

He spoke with such certainty, as if they were certain they would get married.

"I didn't say I had to marry you, did I?" Su Wanwan said.

Xie Yanning stopped tapping her fingers. "If you don't marry me, who will you marry?"

"There are still many good men in the world."

“Yes,” Xie Yanning admitted, “but you won’t have the chance to get to know him.”

Su Wanwan's eyes were full of smiles.

She leaned close to his ear: "Could you pause your work for a minute or two?"

"What?" Xie Yanning's expression was unreadable.

Su Wanwan knelt up, wrapped her arms around his neck, and lightly touched his ear with her lips: "I want to kiss you."

The two hadn't been intimate for a long time.

Some things are too intimate to discuss, but a kiss is fine, right?

This person has been very celibate lately. In the past, even if he didn't do anything, he would always find a chance to kiss people a few times. But lately, the most affectionate thing he has ever shown is a restrained yet tender kiss on her forehead.

"You can't get excited," Xie Yanning refused outright.

Su Wanwan gave him a peck. "I just have some lung damage. There's nothing wrong with breathing a little faster. I should exercise appropriately in my condition. Are you the doctor or am I?"

"no."

"Are you going to kiss me or not?" Su Wanwan asked, seemingly threateningly. "If you don't, I'll find someone else to kiss!"

Who are you looking for?

"..." Su Wanwan gave up and slumped onto the bed. "Fine, if you don't want to kiss me, then don't. You'll regret it later."

She pulled the covers up and lay back down in bed.

Xie Yanning smiled and stroked her face, "I'll make sure you're well, and then I'll satisfy you."

Su Wanwan snorted, "Who cares about you?"

Even so, she still sat next to Xie Yanning and fell asleep listening to him type.

Hearing her even breathing, Xie Yanning put the computer back to the side, gently adjusted its position for her, and then kissed her lips.

How could he not want to?

However, since she is currently recuperating, it would be best for her to rest and recuperate quietly.

There might not be any problems, but Xie Yanning can't afford to take any risks.

At worst, he can just take a few more cold showers.

After finishing his work, he quietly put the computer aside.

I used the remote to draw the curtains, and the room instantly became dark.

Su Wanwan slept on her side, avoiding the wound.

Xie Yanning carefully moved the person into her arms.
