Chapter 19: Ordering Ten Male Models

Chapter 19: Ordering Ten Male Models

The male and female voices blended together, and the people in the audience who had been cheering fell silent, listening attentively to the heavenly sounds.

Su Wanwan really didn't know Xie Yanning could sing; at least to her, it sounded much better than some of the wailing and howling.

Among the group, Cheng Xue, who was once the principal singer of the choir, had the highest musical level. "Not bad, she's good enough to perform."

Qi Yun rested her chin on her hand, her eyes crinkling into slits with laughter. "The lead singer and drummer look so good together." Her lifelong hobby is shipping couples, both male and female, and without exception, they're all good-looking.

Su Wanwan's calm gaze swept between the two of them, and after a long while she said in a low voice, "They are indeed a good match."

Yang Lewei looked at Su Wanwan, a hint of worry in her eyes.

Are you alright?

Su Wanwan chuckled and said, "What could possibly happen to me?" Seeing Yang Lewei's disbelieving expression, she added, "Alright, bride, don't worry about me. Your priority now is to look beautiful as your bride."

“But—” Yang Lewei pouted, “I’m afraid you’ll be lonely.”

Su Wanwan: "..."

She was in a state of turmoil, and she also had to comfort the melancholy bride.

"I'm not lonely, don't I still have you?" Su Wanwan asked herself, her soul pounding. "If we get married, will you stop paying attention to me?"

"Of course not!"

"That won't do." Su Wanwan patted her head.

The other two assumed that Yang Lewei was just drunk and making a fuss.

The group chatted about gossip, and Su Wanwan responded half-heartedly. After a while, feeling bored, she said, "I'm going to the restroom. You guys drink here first, and I'll come back later."

Su Wanwan walked out.

It's not too late yet; it's just getting dark, and the area outside the bar is still quite lively.

There's a newly opened plaza nearby, and it's the weekend, so there's a lot of foot traffic.

Amidst the bustling crowd, Su Wanwan found a bench outside the square and sat down.

Directly opposite was a fountain, reflecting the dazzling lights of the bustling city, making Su Wanwan's eyes itch with delight.

She rubbed her eyes, looked up at the night view in the distance, took a deep breath of the chilly early autumn air, and couldn't help but cough twice from the cold air.

She rubbed her temples.

He's still as useless as ever.

As night fell, the wind picked up.

Su Wanwan was dressed in thin clothes. She rubbed her arms together a couple of times and decided to go back to the bar first, since they should have finished singing by now anyway.

As soon as Su Wanwan entered, she saw Cheng Xue and Qi Jun pulling Yang Lewei, who was struggling.

Yang Lewei has a low alcohol tolerance; she gets tipsy after just a little, and goes crazy after a couple of drinks. That's why Su Wanwan instructed Cheng Xue and the others to keep an eye on her drinks.

Who would have thought that a Long Island Iced Tea could make you this drunk?

Alcohol really does lead to trouble.

Yang Lewei was drunk, but her eyesight was still excellent, and she immediately spotted Su Wanwan at the door.

"Su Wanwan, come here!" With that shout, half the people in the bar turned to look.

Su Wanwan really regretted not wearing a mask.

"How did you get so drunk?" She walked over, and before she could finish speaking, she saw a few people at the next table.

When did they move in next to them? Will this ill-fated relationship ever end?

Xue Shi'an recognized her immediately.

"Oh, it's you?"

Yes, it's me. You have great eyesight.

Su Wanwan didn't want to admit it at all, so she could only vaguely say, "Yes, it seems to be me."

Xie Yanning was sitting in a seat further inside, where the lighting was poor, and Su Wanwan couldn't see his expression clearly.

Zhang Yunqing remained silent, and Su Wanwan subtly sensed her dissatisfaction.

Su Wanwan had no intention of arguing with her; she just wanted to quickly pull Yang Lewei away.

Cheng Xue and Qi Jun also tried to persuade them.

"Shall we go back first?"

"Yes, yes, let's go back first and get some sleep so we can be the most beautiful brides."

Su Wanwan asked, "What exactly is going on? I was only gone for a moment."

"We don't know either. She suddenly slammed her glass down and stood up, yelling." The other two were also exasperated.

These words seemed to have touched a nerve with Yang Lewei, who then shouted, "Yes, we want male models, I'm not short of money!"

Su Wanwan pulled Yang Lewei, "Grandma, shall we go back first?" At least we shouldn't embarrass ourselves in front of so many people, especially in front of Xie Yanning and Zhang Yunqing.

“No,” Yang Lewei wagged her finger and then pouted, “I want to hire a male model for you. I’m getting married soon, and I can’t let you be all alone and lonely.”

Su Wanwan sighed helplessly. Just how lonely must she look to have brought up this topic again?

“In today’s society governed by law, prostitution is illegal,” Su Wanwan said.

"Take whichever one you like today, don't be shy with me," Yang Lewei said boldly, ignoring everyone else.

Xue Shi'an was stunned for a long time before finally coming to his senses. "Ah, isn't today your wedding?" He pointed at Su Wanwan, then hesitated and looked at Xie Yanning.

He had just been thinking, "That bastard Xie Yanning looked like he had no will to live the other day, how come he's all dressed up now?"

So it turns out Miss Su isn't getting married today.

Su Wanwan glared at Xie Yanning with a sharp look.

Xie Yanning didn't have time to shut Xue Shi'an up before explaining to Su Wanwan, "He misunderstood."

Xue Shi'an's gaze darted back and forth between the two of them. "When did you two start secretly exchanging gifts behind my back?"

This clearly indicates prior contact!

"..." What does "private exchange" mean? This foreigner doesn't understand idioms, so please don't use them randomly!

"Mr. Curly Hair, please watch your words."

Xue Shi'an felt wronged upon hearing this.

What he hated most in his life was his curly hair, which greatly affected his tough guy image and made him look several years younger.

"Ignore him." Xie Yanning pulled Xue Shi'an down with one hand.

Yang Lewei looked at Xue Shi'an and flicked her index finger lightly, "You're no good, you don't look mature enough."

This knife stabbed even more viciously.

Xue Shi'an became withdrawn.

"Whichever one you fancy, I'll pay." Yang Lewei looked back at Su Wanwan. "I guarantee they won't dare refuse!"

At first, most people were just there to watch the spectacle, but when they saw that it was Su Wanwan coming down, many people's eyes lit up.

Upon hearing this, they all shouted, "Miss, choose me! It's free, so it's not an illegal transaction!"

Several were even eager to come forward.

Su Wanwan felt utterly humiliated today. Cheng Xue and Qi Jun never expected Yang Lewei to be so ridiculously drunk.

Su Wanwan coaxed the drunkard, "What are you talking about? If it weren't for you, I would have already spent the night with the male model. Come upstairs with me and take a look, okay?"

"Really?" Yang Lewei's eyes were hazy.

"Really." Su Wanwan's tone was sincere.

"Then—" Yang Lewei pointed, "Is he as handsome as him?"

To be fair, Yang Lewei does have some sense of aesthetics, and the person she was referring to was Xie Yanning.

Su Wanwan looked over.

Xie Yanning glanced around, a hint of coldness in her eyes, and stood up. "Let's help her upstairs first."

"Okay." Su Wanwan didn't want to stay any longer.
