Chapter 013 | 0013 She stepped over the bloody shards
The heavy curtains were drawn, and it was still raining. Without checking the time, Wu Qian didn't know whether it was day or night.
Her life has always been upside down.
Wu Xian had a dream, she knew it, she dreamed of Mr. H, was it because of the rain?
“Master…” she uttered the tender word softly from her throat.
Dreaming of him is a familiar yet novel experience. Wu Qian often dreamed of him when they had just separated.
But as time went on, she stopped thinking about him, even when she couldn't sleep.
Both the doctor and Pei Wenbo believe this is a good thing; forgetting means she is recovering and moving on from the effects he had on her.
Wu Xian knew that wasn't the case.
Forgetting is a black hole gnawed into her spirit by termites, making her more vulnerable and prone to madness. Those people couldn't understand, and Wu Qian had never said that she was completely inseparable from her master.
Owner……
Wu Qian got off the bed and walked barefoot on the ground. The stone floor was damp and cold from the rain.
She paced around in a small area, and despite it being summer, her teeth started chattering inappropriately.
She has been doing this since she became mentally unstable in her teenage years, whenever she feels agitated.
Ms. Wu didn't care much about her daughter; her heart was full of love, so she naturally wouldn't notice anything wrong with Wu Qian.
She left her daughter alone at home and didn't notice that Wu Xian would run to the garden barefoot and walk in the mud in the middle of the night. She wouldn't have noticed the small wounds Wu Xian had caused by the stones.
Wu Xian grew increasingly dissatisfied until she stepped on the glass—shards of glass, seemingly from nowhere, were scattered on the ground.
She walked past it again and again, slowly and painfully, the smell of blood lingering in her nostrils, the overlapping footprints staining the fragments red.
Wu Xian was crying and laughing at the same time.
Two days later, Ms. Wu discovered that Wu Xian had a high fever in her bed.
Ms. Wu and Pei Wenbo both believe that her strange behavior was caused by brain damage from the prolonged high fever.
No one knew that she had already gone mad; she had become addicted to the pain.
Glass, Wu Qian wanted glass—a symbol representing madness, scars, pain, and liberation in this young girl's life, suddenly rose in her mind and grew ever more pronounced. What did she want to suppress her mental impulses, her insatiable desires?
She wanted to scream and laugh!
But Wu Xian started crying again. The doctor said that it was normal for her to be emotionally unstable, and that she would have to rely on medication to control her condition for the time being.
Wu Xian did not eat.
She simply covered her face, curled up, and sobbed to herself.
The door opened the next moment, and Hobert stood in the doorway against the light, knocking on the frame to tell her, "Let me in, Cloud."
He was tall and imposing, with power flowing through his masculine body. They established a relationship; he was Wu Xian's master, but at this moment, he still adhered to the rules, requiring Wu Xian's consent to enter.
Hobert was extremely dangerous, but she was perfectly safe.
Looking into the red eyes, Wu Xian realized that she had regained her master. He called her Cloud, and she was Cloud again.
"Please come in, Master." Wu Xian stared at him with her misty, emotionless eyes.
Hobert entered the house only after receiving permission. He closed the door, and everything returned to darkness. Wu Qian could not see anything, but his cold, strong hands lifted her up.
"Mission complete?"
After Wu Qian was punished, Hobert made her complete the task of falling asleep again. This time, Wu Qian did very well, so well that she had an emotional breakdown and started to go crazy.
"Yes, Master Cloud just woke up. I slept very well. I was very good."
The master's voice was calm and even, and even though she had just been in such a disheveled state with tears on her face, it was nothing to him. Wu Qian gradually calmed down with him.
"Good boy, Cloud," the owner praised.
“Master.” Wu Xian didn’t know if he could see her, but Hobert’s red eyes were a source of light in the darkness, and she stared intently at them with fascination. “Master, come and play with Cloud.”
She wanted her master to inflict pain, to complete the full climax that she hadn't been able to reach in her dream.
In the darkness, Wu Xian could neither see others nor herself. Hobert, on the other hand, was a creature born of darkness, and every expression of Wu Xian's was clearly visible to him.
She may not have realized the pleading and longing in her eyes, and the undisguised, guiltless greed that conflated the past and the present.
Cloud, his cloud, Hobart's cloud, is using a pitiful, animal-like expression to whine, hoping to get from one beast the pleasure that another beast in his memory once gave him.
Hobart knew perfectly well who they were and what they had done.
He chuckled, his attitude cold, and patted her face. "Cloud, who gave you permission to order your master around?"
“With the right attitude, Cloud.”
Ah, Master, so cold and rational. You also have red eyes and will not pay attention to Cloud's entanglements. Although you are a little different, it doesn't matter. I like you so much.
As Wu Xian slid down, she bent her knees and knelt on the ground when she touched the flat ground. "Master—" she called out.
He was the master, and she could not make demands when entering into this relationship; everything should be provided by Hobart.
