Chapter 091 | 0091 I Want Revenge
“Walter,” Ivan called out his name. The leader of the Roman rebels, a vampire born only a century ago, had always been one of the leaders opposing Hobart’s rule.
The rebels believed that vampires were born noble and were unwilling to abide by the terms set by Hobbes, believing that humans were not worthy of concessions from higher species.
In Ivan's eyes, they were just a bunch of brainless idiots.
Walter was able to lead the rebels for a century not because he was strong, but because he was like a mouse, hiding and dodging, and the arrogant pure-blood monarchs were unwilling to spend too much time on mice.
"what you up to?"
Walter shrugged nonchalantly. "I heard Al hid a treasure here. I'd like to see what it is. Oh, I forgot he changed his name recently."
"How strange, why give up his noble name? Is it just for the first letter H?"
When Ivan heard that he wanted to go find Wu Xian, he could no longer wait for the light prison to dissipate on its own. He pried it open with both hands, the divine power corroding his flesh. "You don't think I'd be trapped by such a little trick?"
"Hahaha, you're in a hurry!" Walter laughed. "It's alright, I've already thoroughly studied that treasure before you came out, Ivan! Al, our esteemed master must be very sad."
“I advise you not to do this.” Ivan turned around, surprised by his own emotional fluctuations towards Wu Qian.
"Ivan! I..." The annoying voice stopped abruptly, followed by the pungent smell of blood.
Ivan turned his head and saw the hand that had pierced Walter's heart slowly withdrawing, and as Walter fell, the man behind him revealed his true face.
His expression was disdainful, with the corners of his mouth turned up. Crushing the heart of his kin was as trivial as it seemed. He didn't want to make a grand entrance like Walter, but he had already reaped the name of one of his own kind the moment he appeared.
"Ivan."
Walter was dead, his trickery vanished, and Ivan was free, but his heart sank to the bottom. He hadn't felt this tense even when he had just been captured by Walter.
He called out the man's name, Harold.
Having lost the battle of the brothers, Harold, the pure-blooded tyrant, is the other sword on the Twin Swords Badge.
“You smell of her, Ivan. She’s with you.”
Ivan gritted his teeth and finally said "yes." This was the hierarchy of vampires; only Hobert could suppress Harold, and everyone else could only bow down before him.
"Take me to see her."
“Harold, this has nothing to do with Miss U.S., she and Hobert are just…”
"She and Hobart."
Harold pondered the words, his fangs flashing with a dangerous light. "So, you're not the one guarding her; you're staying by her side according to Hobart's wishes."
"Yes, I was left behind to protect her."
Harold sneered, "Hobert, what a show-off." His brother knew he was going to escape. Who could Ivan protect? What was he planning?
"It doesn't matter, take me to see her, I want to see her, my little dog, I hope you take good care of her."
Ivan breathed a sigh of relief when he heard Harold say this, but soon his heart sank again. He hadn't participated in the capture, but he had heard about the secret that Harold had been abandoned by a human.
Could it be Wu Xian? Harold will never let her go! He will definitely take revenge for not being able to trample the dignity of a pure-blood monarch into the ground.
"Ivan, if you want to rebel, don't waste your time. Don't you have a newborn baby with you?"
Harold beckoned, and a figure emerged from the blood mist—Carol. She bared her fangs; the newborn had not yet experienced the fear of class oppression, and a cruel side of her personality remained, which she could not suppress.
Don't even think about hurting her!
“My little dog, still so fond of seducing people.” Harold’s face was cold, and his eyes flashed with a dangerous light.
“You will be willing.”
"what are you up to."
"Of course, it's revenge."
In the city center, unaware of the undercurrents among vampires, Wu Qian focused intently on completing the jigsaw puzzle, sniffing the clothes left behind by her master.
The puzzle had a thousand pieces, but it was only enough for Wu Qian to play with for a while, because she would forcefully insert the wrong corners. The distorted patterns were useless to her. She didn't turn around and was naturally unaware that there was a pair of eyes staring at her from the window behind her.
After all that he felt, he disappeared again.
