Chapter 114 | 0114 Cannot Be Abandoned
“Wu Xian”.
Harold stared coldly at the whining puppy. He tightened his grip and dug his hand into Wu Xian's flesh, pressing hard to disperse the bruises, which also caused Wu Xian to cry out.
"Ouch, ouch, Harold!"
"Hmph, why don't you call me your good master anymore?"
He may seem fierce, but his actions are gentle. Harold won't refuse when a puppy comes up to him and nuzzles his nose. His stern words seem to be just a cover.
"You can't scare this child like that."
Hobart smirked as he continued to kindly instruct his brother on how to act as a master, even down to the smallest details.
"Shut up, you shameless old bat. Stop plotting and scheming, you rotten corpse."
Hobart is right. As the master, one must establish authority or the dog will abandon him. However, he is not the dog's master but his lover. Besides, there is already the example of his brother. If he were to follow that example, he would only be disliked by the dog.
What a wicked woman she was! Harold knew it all too well.
"What a pity."
Hobert smiled slightly. Now that the conspiracy had been seen through, there was no need to give the puppy to someone else. He strode forward, his long fingers reaching out to grab Wuxian back.
Surprisingly, Wu Qian was the most nervous during this action. She was really torn between returning to her master's embrace or being tempted by Harold's pectoral muscles. She was reluctant to leave either one.
Before Hobart could even speak, she had already pitifully pleaded, "Please, don't make things difficult for the puppy!"
"You thought so too, didn't you, Hobart?"
Harold stroked Wu Xian's cheek and kissed away her tears. "You're planning this too, aren't you? You know perfectly well that if things don't stay the same, even if she likes you now, she'll be abandoned in the future."
"I still remember that human you summoned to the palace, the triangle, right?"
The triangle is the most stable. After establishing a relationship with Wu Qian, Hobert was planning that he must not be abandoned by Wu Qian, because he was not his soft-hearted brother. If the puppy really did such a thing, he would probably hurt her.
Whether it's imprisonment or brainwashing, who knows? In any case, he'll definitely lose his mind and use every possible means to win back the puppy's heart.
Hobert fell silent, realizing his thoughts had been exposed.
Harold remained silent.
Wu Xian was the most nervous. Neither her master nor her lover spoke, and the sensitive and affectionate little dog felt a pang of sadness, a sharp pain that made it hard to breathe.
The puppy is mentally ill; its emotions are just that changeable.
She sobbed silently, biting her lip so as not to be seen, her face turning red.
Sadness engulfed her like a dark night, and Wu Xian's body trembled.
Her tears fell onto Harold and Hobart's hands, burning them to the point that the vampires could hardly bear it.
“Cloud, good girl, open your mouth.” Hobert pressed his thumb against Wu Xian’s mouth, forcing her to open her mouth with force. “Breathe, Cloud, breathe.”
Wu Xian stared blankly at Hobert, still not having reacted.
"Ugh, breathe now!" Harold kissed the poor puppy's lips urgently, almost ordering it, while Hobart stroked the back of his disheveled head from behind.
The two worked together to calm the puppy down.
“I thought…” she sobbed pitifully, “that neither Master nor Harold wanted me anymore.”
What a manipulative little dog! They were worried about being abandoned by this child, but now they're turning the tables on her. They can't do anything about her, they can't even get angry, and even if they use schemes, they can't leave her side.
"Idiot, how could you have such a thought?"
Harold patted Wu Xian's breast again. In her hazy vision, the man's face was as sexy as a sculpture. The puppy, ignoring her tears, clung to her and whined sweetly, "Harold—"
“My dear child, your master is here.” Hobert pulled her close and kissed her cheek. “How could your master abandon my Cloud? If you have such thoughts again, you will be punished.”
"Master, Master is so good."
"Then you won't be angry with the puppy anymore, right?"
Wu Xian's eyes sparkled, but they all knew that her sadness just now was not a pretense. The confrontation between the men was brought to a halt because of the puppy, and even the two who had been fighting for thousands of years could only shake hands and make peace.
Why would I be angry with you?
Wuxian is a puppy, but also a treasure.
