At first, Yinzhen thought the poem was worthy of his abilities, but after carefully reflecting on it, he found it very familiar, and then he remembered why it sounded familiar.
This poem was written by his extremely wasteful emperor son.
Yinzhen didn't know much about poetry, but his soul was wandering in the palace. With nothing else to do, he had to keep an eye on his son's movements every day. His son, Qianlong, was very fond of poetry. He not only liked those who could write poetry, but also liked to write poetry himself.
His skill level was decent, and he had some recollection of the poem, though he didn't immediately recognize it because of the passage of time.
Yunrong noticed that Yinzhen had been perfectly fine just moments before, but his expression suddenly changed, and she sensed something was wrong.
"What's wrong?" Yunrong asked.
After dismissing the people in the private room, Yinzhen said with a hint of helplessness, "I've heard people mention this poem before."
"Ah! You mean this isn't his original work?"
Yinzhen shook his head: "I guess not. Do you know where I hear this from when I sleep?"
Yinzhen sighed: "Qianlong."
Yunrong was genuinely surprised. It was Emperor Qianlong! Yunrong realized this was getting interesting. Since Yinzhen said so, he couldn't possibly be lying to her.
The fact that a poem from the future would appear in this setting makes it seem like there's something wrong with Zhu Tao.
Yunrong: "What about this Zhu Tao?"
Yinzhen didn't know what to do, but he was certain that Zhu Tao was now on his list of names, so he remembered him.
Zhu Tao now hopes to gain the emperor's favor, reach the pinnacle of life, and then enjoy the bliss of having two women on his left and right.
I wonder if he would be happy to know that the Emperor is so "concerned" about him.
Having determined that Zhu Tao was not truly talented, Yinzhen and Yunrong showed little interest in the poetry gathering and simply couldn't muster any enthusiasm for it.
