After leaving Yao's place, Zhang Tingyu went to his own courtyard. He did need to pack his things. His clothes and accessories could be taken care of by the servants, but since his return date was uncertain, he would definitely have to take his books with him.
He needs to tidy things up properly.
On his way back, he happened to run into his cousin Yao Zhen, who was taking a walk in the small garden. Zhang Tingyu was quite surprised to see her. Few people usually walked on this road. After she left, Zhang Tingyu said to his servant, "I don't want anyone to talk about what happened today."
Zhang Tingyu knew that if this got out, it wouldn't be good for either of them, so he gave the servant some special instructions, fearing that he might overstep his bounds.
On the other side, Yao Zhen left the small garden and said to the maid beside her, "I've been staying at my aunt's house for a while now, it's time to go back."
