On Qiu Yun's side.
"Miss, Madam requests your presence."
Qiu Yun snapped out of her daze and followed the maid.
Madam Qiu truly doted on Qiu Yun, and looking at her, she said, "Where did you go? I've been looking for you everywhere."
Qiu Yun forced a smile and said, "I didn't go anywhere, I just took a walk."
Madam Qiu then asked, "By the way, where's your sister? Didn't you say she was coming too? I haven't seen her."
Qiu Yun said, "I'm leaving."
Madam Qiu asked in disbelief, "Gone?"
Qiu Yun nodded.
Madam Qiu said in a bad tone, "Today is your big day, what do you mean by this? I think I've spoiled her too much. She's really gone too far."
Qiu Yun knew her mother's attitude towards Qiu Wen and wasn't surprised: "Let's not talk about her anymore, Mother. What did you call me over for?"
Madam Qiu said, "I'll take you to meet some elders."
Qiu Yun then went with Madam Qiu.
Meanwhile, Qiu Wen was waiting outside the Qiu family's courtyard with two servants. They waited for quite some time, but there was no movement from inside.
"Do you think we should go in and check on him? Our young master doesn't seem like the type to be so quiet. Could something have happened to him?"
"Probably not?"
The two men were servants of the Zhang family. If anything happened to Zhang An, they would be in deep trouble.
"Shall we take a look? Something feels off; it's just too quiet."
"Alright, let's go in and take a look."
The two entered the courtyard. At first, they were afraid of disturbing Zhang An's good time, but after hearing no movement from inside the house, they pushed open the door and entered the room, only to find that there was no one there.
The two men panicked. The person wasn't in the house. Where had he gone? Where was their young master?
This is the Qiu residence, not the Zhang residence, so they didn't dare to publicize it. They planned to explain the situation to Qiu Yun and ask her for help, since she was an insider in this matter.
"Miss, the young master's book has arrived."
Qiu Yun was startled. She had already been threatened by Qiu Wen, and now she was feeling guilty and scared! Just then, Zhang An's men arrived.
Without even thinking, Qiu Yun said, "I won't see you."
"Miss, I'm very worried about them."
Qiu Yun: "I won't see you."
"Yes, I will go and talk to them."
Qiu Yun's maid conveyed Qiu Yun's opinion to them, and the two felt it wouldn't work! So they simply told them what was going on.
"Miss, just tell the second young lady that our young master is missing."
As Qiu Yun's personal maid, she knew about these things, so she understood the seriousness of the matter.
"Please wait a moment, I'll talk to the young lady again."
