Chapter Seventy: Taunts

Ya Ruo quickly organized her thoughts: "What I said yesterday was just said in a moment of panic, don't take it seriously."

Qinggele looked at Ya Ruo with a playful expression, as if to say, "I'll just quietly watch you make up your story." Then, he said slowly and deliberately, "Oh? In the heat of the moment, you make it sound so easy. How come the first person you think of in your panic is my fiancé? The person next to you must be someone who likes you, right? Judging from your relationship, you two have known each other for quite a while, haven't you? What, in your panic, you didn't even think of your friend? You really have no shame." Qinggele said sarcastically at the end.

Arslan was somewhat displeased when he heard Qinggeler talking about Yaro, but he was still quite sensible. What Qinggeler said made sense, while Yaro's words were rather far-fetched.

He knew in his heart that Qinggeler was right, but Ya Ruo was the girl he had liked for many years, and he was unwilling to believe it.

Seeing Arslan's unmoved expression, Qinggeler felt a bit disappointed and said to Arslan, "What, you still have feelings for her? Don't you see how she treats you? At most, you're just a backup plan. Why can't you believe reality? Since you were able to come along to receive the Emperor's summons, you must have plenty of status. There are plenty of good princesses in Mongolia. If you marry a woman with a cunning mind like a sieve, your family might end up being sieves too."

Ya Ruo shouted, "Qing Gele, shut up!"

Qinggele curled her lip: "What, what did I say wrong? What's that saying again? 'Trying to be a prostitute while wanting to maintain a virtuous image.' You're seducing people everywhere and then trying to claim you're pure and innocent. Do you think everyone else is blind?"

Ya Ruo said expressionlessly, "It's none of your business how I conduct myself."

Qinggele: "I don't want to deal with people like you either. If you hadn't provoked Lobsang Gunbu, I would have been happy to keep to myself. I even think you're unclean. You talk as if I want to have more contact with you. I, this princess, am selective about who I talk to!"

Yaro was about to explode, but before she could, Arslan said, "Yaro, we've been out for quite a while today, let's go back!"

Qinggele felt utterly disheartened and mounted her horse to leave first. As for what would happen to the two behind her, who cared! Anyway, she had vented her anger today. Sure enough, good luck always comes in waves.

Yaro and Arslan looked at each other in silence, not knowing what to say. Finally, Arslan spoke up: "Let's go!"

Looking at Arslan's appearance, Yaro had a bad feeling. Could it be that he believed Qinggele's words?

Ya Ruo was still somewhat dazed when she returned to the yurt. She had a feeling that Arslan would no longer be devoted to her. It was all Qinggele's fault. Ya Ruo had never taken Qinggele seriously before, but this time Qinggele had really angered her.

Since Qinggele made her uncomfortable, Yaruo didn't want to make Qinggele comfortable either.

Didn't Qinggele say she was seducing her fiancé? Well then, let her continue seducing him.

Arslan was somewhat disheartened after returning home. He had liked Ya Ruo since he was a child, and liked her very much. Even though Abu disagreed, he still liked her. But he never expected that Ya Ruo would be this kind of person.

Actually, it's not that I didn't think of it, it's just that I didn't want to think about Ya Ruo. People always think the best of the people they like.

Arslan returned looking rather lost. His older brother, seeing him like that, asked, "Where have you been? We couldn't find you."

Arslan didn't want to answer, but since this was his older brother, out of politeness, Arslan said, "I went for a walk."

His older brother: "Why do you look so distraught after you went out?"

Arslan: "It's nothing. By the way, brother, Yaro had no choice last night, right?"

His elder brother immediately understood why he was so distraught. Disapproving of his younger brother's way of looking at women, he sneered, "Ya Ruo is Zasagtu Khan Chenggun's only legitimate sister. If she doesn't want to, Zasagtu Khan Chenggun wouldn't dare to make the decision directly. The old lady is still alive! It must be voluntary. I've said it before, Princess Ya Ruo is very proud! She doesn't care about liking or disliking; she cares about who can give her status and glory. I'm not criticizing you, but what did you say before you came? Stay away from Princess Ya Ruo. She's cunning; be careful not to be used. Then see how you regret it."

Arslan: "I understand, brother."

Seeing his utter dejection, his elder brother comforted him, saying, "There are plenty of good princesses in our tribe! Don't get hung up on just one. Look at the others. Princess Dolan is a good person. Her brother is your childhood friend, and you know her sister well. You two would be a good match, wouldn't you?"

Arslan had no time to think about these things; Yaro was already suffering enough, so he replied somewhat perfunctorily, "Thank you, brother, I'll consider it."

His older brother sighed, "Sigh, I don't know how such a lovestruck fool like you came to be."

Yaro started planning how to make things difficult for Qinggele.

On the other hand, Yinzhen and Yunrong have already had a child, but now they are in a honeymoon period. The people serving them feel this the most. Every day they can see the two masters together and the surrounding area is filled with a sweet atmosphere.

It's absolutely sickening. Several women around Yunrong who lack self-control are already eager to find a man to marry, which shows how toxic the mysterious atmosphere between the two is.

Yinzhen and Yunrong, the two involved parties, did not feel this way. In the past, when they had nothing to do, they would often be together, but they were not as inseparable as they were then.

Liang Jiugong, who served Yinzhen closely, felt this deeply. Now, whenever the emperor came from the empress's place, he would have a warm smile on his face, and while dealing with memorials, he would often ask what the empress was doing.
