Chapter Sixty-Three: Compiling Books

Bobo had to go to school on the first day after his birthday. He didn't complain to Yunrong that he didn't want to go. He got up early in the morning and was taken to the Imperial Study by the eunuch.

The Imperial Study was a study built by Yinzhen on the south side of the east side of the Qianqing Gate, specifically for his son to study. He had also built one in the same place in his previous life, where princes and some imperial princes could also study.

The Imperial Study has five rooms, but with only one teacher and two students, it was inevitably a bit deserted. However, the deserted atmosphere wouldn't disturb the teaching.

Zhang Ying doesn't slack off in teaching; he teaches seriously, and Bobo learns seriously too.

On Bobo's first day of school, although she was still in the palace and usually didn't see her son during the day when she was busy, Yunrong felt restless and distracted today.

Yunrong felt that she might not be used to her son going to school. She lacked energy for doing things, so she simply stopped doing experiments and instead started tinkering with weaving.

The elementary school math textbooks were handed over to the Hanlin Academy. Yunrong plans to compile a basic physics book and a basic chemistry book based on laboratory experiments and some other materials.

It's called basic, and it really is basic. The physics section focuses on modern junior high school physics concepts, explaining phenomena such as sound, light, heat, and electricity, and includes some small experiments. The chemistry section, because it involves the periodic table and element symbols, requires more effort, so it covers junior high school chemistry knowledge.

Yunrong believes that as long as there are people willing to read these books and become interested, there will always be people willing to experiment, and there will always be geniuses who will create more valuable knowledge.

Once Yunrong had this idea, she put it into practice and began compiling the book.

Because Bobo is still young and has only just started learning to read, there's no rush to use these, so Yunrong plans to slowly create them.

Because she had studied it before and had a good memory, it wasn't difficult for her. Yunrong made up a table of contents and began to fill in the content little by little.

Yunrong had just started writing the introduction when Bobo came home from school.

Bobo is still young, and there is no reason for him to move from Yongshou Palace to the Prince's Residence just because he has started his formal education.

Just like any other parent whose son is going to kindergarten for the first time, Yunrong asked him all sorts of questions after he came back.

Bobo said in a childish voice, "Don't worry, Your Majesty, my teacher is very good, and Zhang Tinglu is very kind to me..."

Yunrong: "Mother has prepared your favorite food. Are you hungry? Mother will take you to eat."

Bobo asked, "Aren't we waiting for Father Emperor today?"

Can Yunrong say she forgot?

No way!

Yunrong calmly replied, "Mother isn't hungry yet, you eat first."

Bobo: "Oh, I see!"

Yunrong smiled and said, "Today, your mother had the kitchen bake chicken wings and a pizza for you."

Bobo beamed: "Really? Mom is so good."

Bobo loves chicken wings and pizza, but Yunrong is worried that it's not good for him to eat too much, so she limits how often he can eat them. Even though Bobo seems to have everything, it's still very difficult for him to eat chicken wings and pizza.

At first, he tried to cheat, but Yinzhen firmly refused to tolerate him. He then realized that rules are rules and cannot be changed by cheating.

From then on, he never threw a tantrum again.

Sometimes Yunrong felt that it was too much for her three-year-old son to be like this, since he was still a child! But seeing how well her son had developed his composure, Yunrong felt that perhaps this was the best thing for him.

Bobo was born into the royal family and is the eldest son of the legitimate wife, so it will be easier for him after he learns these things.

While Bobo was happily eating chicken wings and pizza, Zhang Ying took her son home.

On the way, Zhang Ying asked her son, "How is the Emperor?"

Tinglu: "The Emperor is very friendly, which is different from what my son thought."

Tinglu had imagined that the emperor would be arrogant or at least have a high opinion of himself, but he turned out to be very approachable.

To say that Bobo was particularly friendly to Tinglu was an understatement; he simply treated her with normalcy. But Tinglu perceived this as friendliness.

Although Zhang Ying had only been teaching him for a day, he could tell that Prince Tu Yuan was intelligent. At only three years old, he was already able to think independently. He had asked him a few questions today, and from those questions, he could see that Prince Tu Yuan was not inflexible.

Zhang Ying thought to himself, "The Emperor is wise and his successor is intelligent and polite. If Prince Tu Yuan doesn't go astray, he will surely become a wise ruler in the future."

Zhang Ying could tell that the Emperor was a man who was not content with the ordinary. The cement roads in the capital were extensive, and he had also heard that roads were being built all over the Qing Dynasty. With roads open, wealth would flow, which showed that the Qing Dynasty would have a prosperous future.

This is a blessing for the people of the Qing Dynasty, and also a blessing for the officials of the Qing Dynasty.

Zhang Ying was initially a little awkward about the task assigned by the Emperor, but now he regarded Tu Yuan as his prized student and was determined to teach him well.

Zhang Ying instructed his son: "The Emperor is wise in his actions and knows when to advance and when to retreat. As his father, I also hope that you can learn more from him. Although you are older than the Emperor and have some foundation, you must understand the principle that if you don't advance, you will fall behind..."

Zhang Ying then used this opportunity to admonish her son.

Tinglu: "My son understands."

When Zhang Ying returned home, she inquired about her eldest and second sons' studies and offered a few comments.

Both Zhang Tingzan and Zhang Tingyu could tell that Zhang Ying was in a good mood today.

Zhang Tingzan: "Is Dad in a good mood today?"

Zhang Ying smiled and said, "The Emperor is not very old, but he is indeed a promising talent. As his father, I am naturally happy."

Although Zhang Tingzan trusted his father's judgment, what could he possibly learn from just one day of instruction?

Zhang Tingzan: "Father, isn't this too arbitrary?"
