The Fourth Prince turned his head, his eyes cold, but he still didn't say a word.
"I just heard Prime Minister Suo request that Father Emperor visit the Crown Prince at Yuqing Palace after court. He really is the Crown Prince."
The Third Master's tone carried a hint of envy.
He clearly believed that Songgotu's words in court today were a strategic retreat.
Fourth Master said calmly, "Third Brother, be careful what you say," but did not respond to Third Master's words.
The Fourth Prince never makes conclusions about things he doesn't fully understand.
He couldn't possibly fail to hear the probing intent in Third Master's words.
The Third Master spoke a great deal, but the Fourth Master didn't say much. Feeling bored, he bowed once at the Ministry of Rites and then left.
Judging from his back view, he seemed rather sullen.
The Fourth Prince had no time to deal with the Third Prince. As he entered the Ministry of Revenue, he ordered, "Have someone keep an eye on the palace gates. Report back immediately after Prime Minister Su leaves the palace."
Su Peisheng responded in a low voice.
Fourth Master grunted in acknowledgment, but halfway there he suddenly asked, "How's the matter I asked you to handle last time?"
Su Peisheng couldn't quite figure out which incident the Fourth Prince was referring to: "When you went to court, I had already delivered that fine bow to the Fourteenth Prince. The Fourteenth Prince didn't say anything, but he held onto the bow tightly and was extremely happy."
Fourth Master glanced at him: "Anything else?"
Su Peisheng said, "Yes, yesterday Wu Gege handed over the account books and keys to the main courtyard, and the Second Prince was also settled in the front courtyard, being looked after by Granny Yun."
The Fourth Master seemed to be getting impatient: "Does Your Highness not know these things?"
Su Peisheng thought for a moment before remembering something his master had instructed him to do a few days ago: "Yes, the person will be heading to the capital in the next couple of days, and the inn where they will stay has been arranged. We'll just have to wait for your instructions then."
The Fourth Prince nodded in satisfaction: "When the time comes, bring the person into the manor and have them pay their respects to the Princess Consort first."
Su Peisheng agreed, thinking to himself that his master was being far too lenient.
However, upon further reflection, he realized that it made perfect sense.
This matter hasn't been informed to anyone else yet; the master is really putting a lot of effort into it.
Well, he might get a reward too.
