Chapter 650 Another confinement

His Majesty is busy, but the Crown Prince and the Tenth Prince haven't woken up yet. I heard that both of them have been placed in the warm pavilion of the Hall of Mental Cultivation.

Consort De had He Zhongyi keep a close eye on the movements ahead at all times.

It wasn't until after noon that His Majesty finally had time to deal with this mess. Oh, and the Fourth Prince, who had been lying in bed for half a day, also "leisurely woke up."

However, His Majesty did not rush to summon the Fourth Prince, after all, the Fourth Prince was not the only one who witnessed it; there were also many servants below.

After the Fourth Prince had lunch at Yonghe Palace, Liang Jiugong came to invite him under the scorching sun. Consort De didn't say much; the mother and son had already said what needed to be said.

She simply accompanied the Fourth Prince out of Yonghe Palace and lingered for a while under the palace gate.

A storm is brewing.

Consort De, her eyes squinting from the blazing sun, shielded her face with her fan: "Go and investigate where Prince Dun went after entering the palace today, and what time he entered. Also, where did the Crown Prince go to the Imperial Garden from, and where did he go before that?"

Among all the princes, apart from the Crown Prince who was born into the Hesheli clan and was appointed Crown Prince at a young age, the most noble one was the tenth prince, Prince Dun. When these two princes fought, no one dared to stop them.

This incident happened in the Imperial Garden, and the fact that these two princes were able to get together there seemed suspicious to Consort De. She suspected that someone had done something wrong.

This idea wasn't just held by Consort De; even the Fourth Prince himself had this suspicion.

When he arrived at the Hall of Mental Cultivation, the Crown Prince and the Tenth Prince were kneeling. The Fourth Prince did not see his father, the Emperor, so he stood outside for a while.

A moment later, the Fourth Prince heard his father's voice coming from behind the screen: "They've all been dealt with."

After a while, Fourth Master heard another response. The voice sounded somewhat familiar, and Fourth Master carefully examined it.

It's Marhan's voice.

A short while later, Marhan came out of the inner palace. He respectfully bowed to the Crown Prince and the Tenth Prince as he passed by. When he came out again, he saw that the Fourth Prince's slightly dark face finally showed a smile.

"Is Fourth Master well?" He bowed.

Fourth Master returned the greeting.

"I still have duties to perform at the Ministry of Personnel, so I will take my leave now and meet with Your Highness another day."

Thirteen's marriage was almost settled, and the chosen one was the girl from the Zhaojia Malhan family.

Perhaps it was out of pity for the thirteenth prince, and since Marhan himself was capable, the choice of this primary consort was not at all disgraceful, but very suitable.

She wasn't particularly eye-catching, but she wasn't from a humble background either.

After Malhan left, Liang Jiugong then greeted the Fourth Master as he entered.

As the Fourth Prince entered the inner hall, a chill ran through him. He stood slightly off to the side behind the Crown Prince and the Tenth Prince.

The Emperor naturally knew that the Fourth Prince had arrived, but his reprimand was directed at the Crown Prince and the Tenth Prince.

"You two bastards!" His Majesty said, grabbing the paperweight in his hand and throwing it at the Tenth Prince.

Tenth Master instinctively flinched.

It's made of jade; I wonder how painful it would be if it hit someone. Just thinking about it makes Tenth Master feel the pain.

The paperweight eventually landed a little in front of Fourth Master.

Fourth Master remained unmoved.

The Emperor noticed the Tenth Prince's evasive movements, which made him even angrier. He pointed at the Tenth Prince but still didn't say anything to reprimand him.

His Majesty doted on both of his sons, especially the Crown Prince, whom he had watched grow up from a young age.

But as the child grows up, their personality seems to change.

His Majesty turned his anger towards the Crown Prince, slamming his hand on the table several times in a fit of rage: "You're not strict with your subordinates! How many times have I told you this?"

This was said in a much more intimate way.

The Tenth Prince glanced at the Crown Prince, but didn't say anything; he was used to it.

Fourth Master, standing to the side, was not surprised at all.

The Crown Prince, however, remained as still as a block of wood: "Your son knows his mistake."

This was actually none of the Fourth Prince's business. Standing to the side, he thought to himself that he might as well be working at the Ministry of Revenue.

The Emperor was furious at the moment. Upon hearing the Crown Prince's words, he instinctively reached for something nearby, only to find that all he had left was a cup of warm tea.

In the end, His Majesty withdrew his hand.

If the Crown Prince were in front of him right now, he probably wouldn't be able to hold back his hands: "You know you're wrong, you know you're wrong, but have you shown any remorse?"

Before the Crown Prince could reply, a wail suddenly echoed from inside the hall.

This voice certainly didn't come from the Crown Prince, much less from the Fourth Prince.

Fourth Master lowered his head, looking at the way Tenth Master was howling like a ghost in front of him. It was a bit noisy, and he had a bit of a headache.

"Father... Your son is wronged... Your son is wronged..."

The tenth prince was crying quite pitifully, and the fourth prince also managed to glean some details of what had happened from his cries.

It turned out that the corruption case had reached the Hesheli clan, but the Hesheli clan was also troublesome, and had also colluded with people from the Niohuru clan.

Finally, both families were found to have embezzled, and the investigation came right to their doorstep. Hesheli denied everything and tried to push Niohuru out.

The tenth prince, having heard some nonsense again, stormed into the palace. He originally intended to seek justice at Yuqing Palace, but he ran into them as soon as he arrived at the Imperial Garden.

Neither side spared the other with their words, but the tenth brother's insults were more vulgar.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease. After crying and shouting for a while, the Emperor finally softened and let him stand up, even asking Liang Jiugong to offer him a seat.

The Fourth Prince paused for a moment, then stepped forward: "Father, the Crown Prince has difficulty walking and cannot kneel for long..."

Upon hearing this, Tenth Master replied sourly, "Fourth Brother is really kind-hearted."
