Li Chenjiao knew from the meaning of Fourth Master's words that there was no doubt that Second Princess would be going to the front courtyard to study.
Is this what it means for the Fourth Master to treat everyone equally?
Li Chenjiao gritted her teeth inwardly. It wasn't just her saying that there were countless infighting among the servants under the eldest and second princes alone.
At that time, whether it's the eldest princess or the second princess, they'll either be watching the show or causing trouble for themselves.
Well then, the tutors that Granny Zhong and the Fourth Master find won't be teaching together. We can just have Granny Lin go along and keep an eye on things.
She quickly nodded and added, "Then we must prepare the four treasures for the eldest princess, the second princess, and the third prince."
She quickly sent Qiu Ci and Qiu Hu to the storeroom to search for them.
The Fourth Prince nodded and said, "The children will attend school for half a day each day. When they get older, the princes will go to the Imperial Study for further study, and the princesses will have more time to learn."
Li Chenjiao had forgotten that the princes in her household would be going to the palace to study in the Imperial Academy.
She readily agreed, and that night she called for water twice in the east courtyard. The next morning, Fu Lu delivered tonics from the front courtyard.
This medicine didn't seem as bitter as the last one, Li Chenjiao commented after drinking it.
Su Peisheng then relayed Fourth Master's instructions to Madam Xu.
Now, except for the Fourth Prince who is still an infant, all the children will be going to the front yard to study, and the front yard is going to be very lively.
Since the second princess was going to the front yard tomorrow, Li Chenjiao still spoke to the little girl about it.
Every time the princes went to the palace, they would see each other. They were definitely not strangers, but they were certainly not close either.
"Play with Granny Chen every day, and tell her what you like and dislike... Mother is waiting for you to come back for dinner."
None of the children ate in the front yard, since too many people could cause trouble, except for the second prince.
The little girl had no idea about all that; she was still fascinated by the two crickets Dongsheng had caught. This morning, Xiaoluzi had made several more lifelike bamboo grasshoppers, which thrilled the little girl.
Seeing Aman's carefree attitude, Li Chenjiao, as his mother, gave Chen Shi and Zhong Shi another reminder.
Although Aman usually spends most of the day playing outside, it seems somewhat different from Aman going to school in the front yard...
Li Chenjiao felt inexplicably worried.
The next day, Li Chenjiao got up very early, or rather, she hadn't slept well the night before. She tossed and turned all night, thinking about something, and she couldn't help but want to get up and kill all the noisy cicadas in the trees outside.
Originally, she had planned to make a book bag for the Second Princess. Li Chenjiao had seen her mother make one for her brother when they were still young. However, she did not expect to use it for the Second Princess so soon. It had not been finished in a day or two.
There wasn't much else I needed to bring, except for a change of clothes prepared by Madam Chen and Madam Zhong in case of any unforeseen circumstances, as well as writing implements and some small trinkets.
Li Chenjiao personally led the little girl out of the East Courtyard, but did not escort the Second Princess too far. Madam Chen and Madam Zhong were on either side of her, with Granny Lin walking in front and Green Chrysanthemum following behind. This was already very thoughtful.
The little girl was quite excited; she had never been to the front yard before, so it was a completely new place for her to play.
Watching Aman leave for school, Li Chenjiao felt a little lost, and then went back to her room to catch up on sleep.
Now I can finally get a good night's sleep.
She had already eaten breakfast while Aman was eating.
However, Li Chenjiao did not sleep soundly. She had countless dreams. One moment, the Second Princess came back crying, saying that she had been bullied. The next moment, the Second Princess came back smiling, saying that she had beaten the First Prince. Then, there was something about Lady Wu bringing the First Prince to the East Courtyard to cause trouble.
When Li Chenjiao woke up, she clutched her chest.
Good heavens, what kind of dreams is she having?
None of them seem like good dreams.
She was clutching her chest and sighing when she heard the Second Princess's loud and energetic shout from outside.
"Mother! Mother!"
Li Chenjiao knew she had seen her share of ups and downs, but hearing her daughter's voice still made her a little uneasy.
She slipped on her shoes and walked out, responding to Aman's call: "Is our Aman back?"
Before she even reached the outer room, the Second Princess rushed into Li Chenjiao's arms like a gust of wind.
She first put her arm around the little girl, then looked Aman up and down, and then wiped the little girl's face with a handkerchief.
Are you hungry?
The little girl nodded emphatically.
Li Chenjiao tapped the little girl's nose: "Shall we wash your face clean before we eat?"
It seems the little girl had a good time playing in the front yard, otherwise she wouldn't be so excited and jumping around like this.
While washing the little girl's face and wiping her sweat, Li Chenjiao looked at Chen and Zhong standing beside her and saw that both of them had sweat on their foreheads.
Li Chenjiao waved her hand: "I'll take care of Aman here. You two nannies should go and rest first. You can come and serve Aman after her afternoon nap."
It's inevitable that there will be some trouble the first time.
Upon hearing this, Madam Chen quickly shook her head, and even Madam Zhong, who was usually taciturn, showed a rare expression of wanting to say something but holding back.
It was Granny Lin who stepped forward, her voice low: "Master, things haven't been peaceful at the front today..."
As she spoke, she glanced again at the innocent-looking Second Princess.
Li Chenjiao looked puzzled when she heard this, but since the Second Princess was there, she couldn't ask. She decided to wait until after the meal to ask.
