Why not eat in Chapter 340?

When they left, Chen Nian didn't dare to look at Ertai, and Ertai still held the cup in her hand and placed it on the tray.

After watching what they wanted to see, everyone left.

They weren't planning on making a ruckus during their wedding night; as long as they're happy, that's all that matters.

Wishing the bride and groom a long and happy marriage, and many children.

After all the procedures were completed, the matchmaker uttered her final auspicious words.

"Wishing the princess and her husband a long and happy marriage, and many children."

The palace maids in the room were all talking amongst themselves.

Ying'er then handed over her lucky money in turn.

Holding the generous sum of money, the matchmaker's smile deepened as she led the palace maids out.

...

Everyone left, and the room became quiet for a moment.

Ertai remained silent, and Chen Nian was momentarily intimidated by Ertai's "fierce" gaze, daring not to act rashly.

Finally, a clear rumbling stomach broke the silence of the room.

Hearing the gurgling sound of her own mouth, Chen Nian's face turned bright red, wishing there was a hole in the ground she could crawl into immediately.

It's really not her fault; she didn't eat much all day, only a little in the morning.

Are you hungry?

Seeing Chen Nian's embarrassed expression, Ertai chuckled and asked with a smile in his voice.

"Yeah, I haven't eaten anything all day."

Chen Nian nodded sullenly.

"What? You haven't eaten all day? Why didn't you say so earlier? Didn't I ask Xuan'er and the others to bring you food? Didn't they bring it? Or did you not eat? Have some snacks and fruit to fill your stomach first, and I'll have someone bring you some food right away."

Upon hearing Chen Nian's words, Ertai immediately became restless, feeling both angry and helpless. He pulled Chen Nian to the table where pastries were placed, poured him a cup of tea and placed it beside him, before getting up to open the door and giving instructions to the person guarding the door, urging him to hurry up.

He knew about the wedding and that it would be a tiring day, so he specifically instructed Xuan'er and the others to bring food to the little princess along the way.

To his surprise, he received the news that she hadn't eaten all day. He usually took every opportunity to feed her, wishing she was always eating or on her way to eat. How could he not be angry that she hadn't eaten all day?

Seeing how much he enjoyed eating the pastries, Ertai felt extremely sorry for him.

Fortunately, the pastries displayed in the bridal chamber were all her favorites.

Noticing the enormous phoenix crown atop Shen Nian's head, which made her neck appear exceptionally slender and frail, Ertai went around behind Shen Nian and began to help remove the crown without any distractions.

"Eat slowly, save some room for dinner later. Don't move, I'm taking off your phoenix crown. Is your neck tired from being pressed down? I'll give you a massage later."

Chen Nian was so hungry that she didn't even notice Ertai had returned. When she felt the swaying sensation on her head, she subconsciously raised her hand to touch him.

Before they even met, Ertai's words came from above, filled with heartache and pity.

"Okay, are you hungry? Why don't you eat something?"

Hearing Ertai taking off his phoenix crown, Chennian stopped moving, sat obediently, and didn't fidget.

After having some snacks, she wasn't so hungry anymore, and she had time to think about other things.

She held a plate of pastries above her head; Ertai probably wasn't much better off than her.

"I'm fine."

Ertai opened his mouth and ate the pastry that Chen Nian handed him.

He's actually doing well. He's a martial artist, and it's normal for him to go without food for days during his military training in the field.

He just felt sorry for her.

"Why haven't you eaten all day? Didn't I have someone bring you food? Didn't Xuan'er and the others bring you any?"

Ertai got angry when he thought about how he hadn't eaten all day.

"I did send it, but I didn't eat it."

You could say she didn't dare to eat it. Xuan'er and the others brought it to her, but she didn't dare to eat it.

She was so busy that she didn't have time to go to the toilet, and she was worried that she wouldn't be able to go after eating.

Why aren't you eating?

Upon hearing that Chen Nian wouldn't eat, Ertai's anger instantly turned into helplessness.

Little Princess wouldn't eat, and Xuan'er and the others really couldn't do anything about Chen Nian.

He couldn't do anything about Chen Nian.

"because……"
