Chapter 337 Buying Flowers

On the street, some of Kangxi's men took their luggage and went back first, while he, along with Mingxiu and some others, strolled around the street.

Mingxiu tugged at Kangxi's sleeve, practically clinging to him. Kangxi reluctantly pulled her closer to him, relieving some of the weight pressure on the person who had just eaten so much.

"You're a grown man, and it's not like you're not coming back to eat. Why stuff yourself like that?"

"It was so delicious, I couldn't control myself for a moment. Oh well, let's just digest it a bit." Mingxiu said nonchalantly, snuggling in Kangxi's arms.

When you encounter delicious food, of course you should eat more.

Kangxi looked down at the person who was almost nestled in his arms, and then at the subtle gazes of the people around him. He smiled slightly. This person had probably completely relaxed after leaving the palace. Perhaps she herself hadn't even noticed that so many years of life in the palace hadn't left any marks on her.

She still seemed so out of place, especially since they came out this time. She completely let loose, acting as if she didn't care about herself. What she said and what she actually did were two completely different things.

"I bought flowers, I bought flowers! Young master, please buy some flowers for the lady next to you. They were just picked today."

Upon hearing the sound, Mingxiu looked over and saw a little girl selling flowers in front of a group of young men and women.

"How much are these flowers, little girl?" The man blushed and secretly glanced at the woman beside him. He spent two coins to buy a flower and then handed it to the little girl next to him. The little girl accepted it shyly, but the atmosphere between Mingxiu and the woman became even more intimate.

Mingxiu smiled quietly and looked at Kangxi: "Master, I want some flowers too, please buy them for me." Mingxiu tugged at Kangxi's sleeve and acted coquettishly.

Perhaps because of the spiritual spring water or perhaps because she had lived a comfortable life, the marks of time had not lingered on her for many years, so Mingxiu still looked very delicate.

Kangxi glanced at the flowers the little girl was carrying, but didn't ask anyone to help him buy them. He took Mingxiu with him and said, "Little girl, how many flowers do you have in total? I'll buy them all."

Mingxiu looked at Kangxi with starry eyes.

The little girl buying flowers was also excited when she heard this: "To answer your question, sir, there are twelve more flowers in the basket, making a total of..." The little girl counted on her fingers.

Kangxi took out thirty coins and handed them to her: "The total is twenty-four coins. Here are thirty coins. Is the extra six coins enough to buy your basket as well?"

"That's enough, thank you so much, sir." The flower girl happily took the money and handed the basket over.

I picked these flowers outside and wove the basket myself. It only took me a little time, but I didn't expect to earn so much!

Kangxi took the basket and handed it to Mingxiu, raising his chin slightly.

Mingxiu happily accepted it: "Thank you so much, Master. You looked absolutely stunning just now." Mingxiu gave a thumbs up and praised him highly.

Kangxi smiled, and the two continued walking forward.

After shopping and buying a bunch of things, the people who came started heading back.

Emperor Kangxi bought a small, detached courtyard house. The courtyard wasn't very big; there were only about a dozen rooms in total, including the front and back yards, but it was more than enough for all the people living there.

There is also a persimmon tree in the yard, which is now laden with fruit.

Mingxiu was thrilled to see this, but her stomach was truly full, so she could only wait for the persimmons on the tree to be put into her stomach.

The two stayed there for five days. During these days, no one cooked at home. In the morning, they would buy delicious food from outside. After eating, they would each find a place in the study to sit and study. Kangxi mainly studied foreign languages, and Mingxiu also studied, but mostly just slacked off.

When it got to noon, the two of them went out to find a place to eat, took a stroll after eating, and then came back to rest. They would go out for dinner in the evening.

They were living a very comfortable life, and after spending about half a month in Luoyang, they finally decided to set sail again.

Just then, Mingxiu's dried persimmons were all dried.

After the ship was assembled, the two set off again for the coastal region. Before Yinreng ascended the throne, Kangxi had already ordered the construction of a large ship. From the moment Mingxiu brought up the construction of the large ship, Kangxi had been having it built. Later, after he and Mingxiu were frank with each other, Kangxi made modifications based on what he had learned. Later, cannons and guns were added to it. Now their ship is considered one of the best in the world.

Kangxi's ship was meticulously crafted, using many materials that are impossible to produce with current technology, all of which were scavenged from Mingxiu's space.

It took them more than half a month to finally arrive.

"Father, Mother," Yinzhi was already waiting beside Mingxiu when she came down.

Standing beside her was Yierjueluo Genshi: "Father, Mother."

Mingxiu said happily, "Why are you two here? Is it just the two of you? You didn't bring the child." Mingxiu looked behind the two of them.

"They didn't come; they left it at home. This time, your son and wife will accompany you to the sea," Yinzhi said, scratching his head.

“That’s great! I was feeling bored by myself, but now that you’re here, we can keep each other company. Baoqing has really done a good thing.” Mingxiu said, pulling on Yierjuelogen’s arm.

Yinzhi smiled somewhat embarrassedly. Could he say that he hadn't originally planned to bring his wife along? After all, she had just given birth, and the children at home were still young. It was his mother who suggested that his trip would take too long, so he should bring his wife along. One reason was to keep Mingxiu company, and the other was to help the couple get along better.

When Yierjueluo Genshi heard this, she was also somewhat tempted. She had never left the capital since birth, let alone overseas, but she was indeed a little worried about her child.

Ultimately, desire overcame concern for the child, so Yierjueluo Genshi followed Yinzhi to the palace.

As for the children, they can be left with their mother, who can take care of them and keep them company at Changchun Garden.

The four walked towards their lodgings. Yinzhi and the others had only arrived that day and needed to pack and prepare before setting off. On the way, Mingxiu asked Yinzhi, "Did Baocheng say anything when you came here this time?"

"I didn't say anything, I didn't say anything, I just didn't want my son to leave." Yinzhi waved his hand, and really didn't say anything, he just held on and wouldn't let Yinzhi leave, and kept looking at Yinzhi with a resentful look, making him feel very uncomfortable.

His mournful expression almost devoured Yinzhi alive.

Mingxiu tilted her head: That shouldn't be the case. Could it be that Baocheng doesn't want to come out?
