Chapter 351 Kangxi's eyelids twitched.

Mingxiu was stunned upon hearing Yinreng's words.

Emperor Kangxi, standing nearby, glanced at Yinreng with surprise.

Yinreng walked up to the two men with some distress and plopped down next to them. The emperor had no manners at all. His unrestrained posture made Kangxi's eyelids twitch. Had all the etiquette he had learned been eaten by dogs?

"Your subject doesn't know what's going on, but lately I've been having dreams every night, always dreaming of things that have never happened before. And, for some reason, there's no Mingmu Consort or Chenghuan in my dreams." Yinreng stared intently at Mingxiu, and thinking about what happened in his dreams, the guidance from the nannies, and finally the matter with Kangxi, Yinreng felt suffocated.

Mingxiu swallowed hard, unsure of what to say, and stiffly turned to look at Kangxi.

"Perhaps this is because of the changes in the system. The dream you had may have happened in your past life, but it is completely different from now. After all, you have the system, while your mother and I have the space. In addition, the Qing Dynasty is developing rapidly now, so there is no use in you worrying about these things," Kangxi said calmly.

Mingxiu looked at Kangxi with great admiration. As expected of someone who had been an emperor, he spoke with such confidence and conviction.

Yinreng choked, unsure of what to say.

"But Father, aren't you even a little curious? I only said that I dreamed of some things that never happened, without saying what they were. Does Father really assume that they happened in a past life?" Yinreng asked with some suspicion.

Kangxi was taken aback, as if he had just denied it too quickly, but he remained calm on the surface. "Since you dreamed of things that have never happened before, and you yourself believe that these things are real, and they are not things that happened now, it can only be from your past life."

"How does Father Emperor know that these things are true?" Yinreng looked at Kangxi with doubt.

"I know you well enough. If you didn't believe it was true, you wouldn't have come to ask," Kangxi said irritably.

Ah, this, it seems so.

Yinreng scratched his head.

“Yes, yes, and just like your father said, it’s all about the past life anyway. Don’t dwell on whether it happened in this life or not. And since we already know some unpleasant things, let’s just try to make changes.” Mingxiu nodded quickly to comfort Yinreng, telling him not to worry about the issue anymore.

Yinreng nodded, "Your subject understands. Your subject just felt a little apprehensive, so I wanted to come and talk to Father Emperor and Consort Ming. Now that you've said this, your subject will no longer worry about these things."

Mingxiu nodded again, as long as she didn't dwell on it.

After that, Mingxiu didn't want to know what happened next, and she left the kitchen, leaving the father and son inside to discuss things. Anyway, Kangxi would tell her after they finished discussing things.

After emerging and looking at the cloudless sky outside, Mingxiu secretly breathed a sigh of relief, patted her chest, and noticed the group of palace servants around her looking on with great curiosity. After all, the Imperial Noble Consort was usually a very calm and composed person, so what was wrong with her today?

Mingxiu didn't notice the curious looks from the palace servants. She went into the small kitchen in Yonghe Palace to prepare some delicious food so that the father and son could eat after they finished talking.

She had already given up on whether Yinreng knew or not, since it didn't concern her much anyway. Even if he remembered, it was a matter between him and Kangxi, and ultimately it was something that the father and son had to resolve themselves.

However, Mingxiu felt that Yinreng's mood was probably not very good today. Looking at the prepared dishes, she thought for a while and decided to add a cake. Sweet things are always very comforting.

Just as Mingxiu had predicted, when the two came out, Kangxi couldn't tell at first glance, but Yinreng's eyes were red, clearly indicating that he had just been crying, though he looked much more relaxed.

Mingxiu blinked at Yinreng, then turned to look at Kangxi, and saw Kangxi give a subtle nod.

Mingxiu instantly understood; the situation had been resolved.

"Come out, come out and see if we can eat. Your mother has prepared a lot of delicious food today, and there's a cake with your favorite strawberries inside." Mingxiu ignored Yinreng's red eyes and pulled him to eat.

Sweet pastries are indeed captivating. After eating the dessert, Yinreng felt his excitement subside and he felt much more comfortable.

After finishing his meal, Yinreng went out full of energy to get to work. He had been in a bad mood lately and had many things to deal with, accumulating a lot of official duties.

Thinking of the numerous memorials piled up in the study, Yinreng's relaxed expression instantly fell. He led his men forward slowly, pondering who could help him handle the matters. Doing everything himself was truly exhausting.

Should he look for the fourth prince, or the third prince, or even the fifth prince, but forget about the eldest brother? Yinreng pondered this over and then sent someone to find Yinzhen, Yinzhi, and Yinqi to see what they were doing.

After Yinreng left, Mingxiu looked at Kangxi in the room and said with amusement, "How about it? It's a bit frustrating that others know but you don't, especially since this matter is your fault, but you can't say anything about it."

Kangxi glanced at Mingxiu, who was watching the show, and said indifferently, "There's nothing to be upset about. Baocheng also said it was just a dream, it's not like it really happened to him."
