Chapter 359 Yinreng is Jealous

After finishing their work, the three of them took the three children and started heading home. As for Qingzhun, he had already taken the vegetables he had picked back home. On the way, he also caught a rice paddy fish to take back with him, planning to add a fish dish to the meal.

This rice paddy was also bought by Emperor Kangxi and his entourage. When they bought it, the family had an urgent matter and needed to leave. The fish fry had just been released, which benefited Emperor Kangxi and his entourage, who bought the entire paddy field.

The three children had just walked to the roadside when they saw Qingzhun catching fish in the paddy field. They were excited and wanted to go in to take a look, but Kangxi stopped them. If they went in, they probably wouldn't be able to get out today.

Don't ask how Kangxi knew. He was also incredibly excited when he first went in. He caught fish inside, sometimes catching them and sometimes releasing them. For those few days, his family had fish and vegetables every day.

"Did you bring everything? How did you bring it in?" Kangxi asked the two older children following behind, looking at the three younger ones frolicking in front.

"No, Chenghuan is here too. The things are all in her carriage, but they are slow to arrive, so we'll have to wait a few more days," Yinreng said nonchalantly.

Kangxi frowned at Yinreng: "I just asked you a question, and you haven't answered me properly yet. Why did you come here? What will happen to the palace now that you're here?" He's too willful.

Yinreng looked at Kangxi and said, "Father, don't worry. I made sure everything was arranged before I came. I've entrusted everything to my fourth brother, and my third brother is also helping to keep an eye on things. The remaining brothers are each responsible for a different area, so there won't be any problems. I'll be going back in a while." Yinreng knew that Kangxi was worried.

Kangxi's eyelids twitched. It wasn't that he didn't trust Yinzhen; the boy had always been a loyal admirer of the Crown Prince: "You just left the Fourth Prince at home and came out on your own like that."

Ah, haha: "Yes." Yinreng touched his nose awkwardly. What to do? Not only was he worried, but he also didn't have the ability. It could only be Xiao Si.

Yinzhi tried his best to suppress his laughter.

"Hmph, fourth brother, having a brother like you is a disaster." He thinks of him in everything.

Yinreng chuckled.

Meanwhile, far away in the palace, Yinzhen sat on a chair and looked at the increasing number of memorials beside him with great regret, wishing he had been more soft-hearted and agreed.

How awful! He also wanted to see his mother and father, the Emperor.

Yinzhi was reviewing memorials with his head down. After a while, he got up to stretch his stiff neck and saw his fourth brother's indignant expression.

Shaking my head, what could I do? I had promised to do it, so I could only do it with tears in my eyes.

When Kangxi and the others returned, the meal was almost ready. Mingxiu saw them come in covered in mud and shook her head, knowing this would happen.

"Alright, you guys go take a shower now, and come down for dinner after you're done." He turned and left without even glancing at the troublesome few.

The remaining few exchanged glances. Kangxi went to take a bath, and Xiao Shitou had already gone back to eat when he arrived at their door.

Yinreng and Yinzhi were left staring at each other, while Guarjia and Yierjuelogen felt a headache coming on as everyone, big and small, was covered in mud after going out for a while.

Hurry up and take everyone to the arranged rooms to wash up.

After everyone had finished washing up, Mingxiu sat on a stool waiting for them to come over.

"Let's get ready to eat. Did you know they were coming? You didn't say a word. I was stunned when I saw them coming in," Mingxiu said quickly as Kangxi entered.

Kangxi shook his head: "I didn't know at first either, but since they're here, they're here. Besides, you missed them, so they can relax here too. It's a win-win situation." Kangxi said calmly.

Mingxiu nodded in agreement when she heard Kangxi's words. He was right. The scenery here was so beautiful, it was a great place to relax.

After a while, Yinreng and Yinzhi arrived one after another.

Kangxi looked at the group and said, "Alright, now that you're here, let's get ready to eat."

"Hurry up and cook! You've probably never had this kind of food before. Try it and see how it compares to what you get in the capital. Is it good?" Mingxiu said with a smile, inviting everyone to sit down.

"Grandma, this fish is so delicious!" Fu Bao exclaimed after taking a bite of the fish.

"If you like it, eat more. Don't just eat fish, try these vegetables too, they're very delicious," Mingxiu said to Fubao.

"It's really delicious, Mother. Are you all eating so well here? I'm so envious," Yinreng said shamelessly.

Kangxi rolled his eyes at him: "How dare you say that? Just eat your food. None of us eat as well as you." The dishes prepared for the Emperor were naturally the best.

“Even the most delicious food gets boring after a while, okay? Besides, am I wrong? It really is delicious,” Yinreng protested.

"Alright, alright, what are you saying about eating? If you like it, eat more. These are all vegetables that your father grew himself. From planting them to watering them, and from when they grew up, your father took care of everything himself. This is a token of his love and care," Mingxiu said, trying to smooth things over.

The group enjoyed a pleasant lunch, and then Mingxiu took Kangxi to take a nap. They hadn't done this before, but now, Mingxiu felt sleepy at lunchtime, so she would take a nap with Kangxi.

Although Yinreng and Yinzhi hadn't mentioned it beforehand, they were actually quite tired from their long journey.

Everyone went back to sleep.

So now everyone in the huge mansion is working very carefully, afraid of waking up their master.

The group stayed here for a few days. During these days, Yinzhi and Yinreng either strolled around the streets with their wives or went to work in the fields with Kangxi. Of course, they preferred working in the fields, so they spent more time there.

Hongxi, Fubao, and Xiaoshitou have been spending more time together lately because Xiaoshitou is studying with Kangxi, so they've become quite familiar with each other. As soon as they finish studying, the three of them go out to play without the adults interfering, since Fubao and Hongxi are always accompanied by someone to protect them.

When Yinreng and Yinzhi learned that there were others studying under Kangxi, they looked at Xiaoshitou with pity. However, after seeing the difference in how Kangxi treated Xiaoshitou compared to them, they felt very awkward.

They felt that Kangxi treated them worse than Xiao Shitou. Yinzhi was a little better, but Yinreng's treatment was particularly obvious, so much so that Kangxi had already noticed it.

Looking at his eldest son, who was standing at the door with a jealous expression, Kangxi sighed, realizing that his temper was truly too good for him.

If it were anyone else seeing Yinreng's expression, they'd probably be so angry they'd want to hit him.
