Chapter 41 Snowball Fight

Looking at the even uglier snowman, Mingxiu twitched the corner of his mouth, but still smiled happily.

The children were very happy looking at their snowman. They didn't think their snowman was ugly at all, and they were all very happy.

Seeing the person laughing happily, Mingxiu rolled her eyes and grabbed a snowball from the ground, throwing it at Yinreng.

Yinreng was stunned by the blow. Although it didn't hurt, it was a surprise. He turned around and saw Mingxiu smiling at him, holding the incriminating evidence in her hand.

With a quick glance, she picked up a snowball and threw it at Yinzhi, and a snowball fight was about to break out.

Since Yinzhi was still young, Mingxiu had someone take him over so she could play a snowball fight with the two children. The three of them threw snowballs at each other without any distinction, but since Mingxiu was the oldest, she got the smallest snowballs, while Yinreng and Yinzhi got the most. Looking at their own disheveled appearance and then at Mingxiu's almost clean body, the two of them exchanged a glance and threw snowballs directly at Mingxiu.

Mingxiu was basking in the joy of winning when she was suddenly hit by two snowballs.

He chuckled twice as he looked at the snowball that had hit his chest.

Mingxiu grabbed one in each hand and ran towards the two of them.

The snowball contest continued, and Yin Zhi stood to the side with a grin, occasionally adding a snowball to his bowl, laughing heartily.

When he was in the palace, his mother was gentle and wouldn't play like this with him, and the servants were afraid he would get hurt, so this was the first time he had played so happily.

When Kangxi entered, this was the scene he saw: Mingxiu was having a snowball fight with his eldest and second sons, while his third son was laughing happily beside them.

Seeing this scene, Kangxi smiled. Mingxiu also saw Kangxi walking in and quickly ran towards him.

As she ran, she kept saying, "Your Majesty, protect me!"

Then, Mingxiu crawled behind Kangxi and, looking at the two children who had stopped, made a face at Yinreng and Yinzhi.

Kangxi, Yinreng, Yinzhi "..."

Kangxi helplessly pulled Mingxiu out from behind, shook his head at the mess in the courtyard. "She's such a grown woman..."

The four of them had been playing all morning and were quite tired. Kangxi led them back to the house, where a charcoal fire made it especially warm.

Kangxi was relieved to see that each of the four people had drunk a bowl of ginger soup to ward off the cold.

Let the three of them go play in the next room. The bedroom next door is a toy room that Mingxiu prepared, and all the toys that Mingxiu made are stored in it.

After everyone had left, Mingxiu nestled in Kangxi's arms to rest. She was exhausted from all the exercise she had done that morning.

Kangxi held the person who was slumped in his arms and smiled helplessly.

After a while, Mingxiu finally calmed down and began to ask, "Why did Your Majesty come at this time?"

Kangxi glanced down at the boy still in his arms. "How can I not welcome you? You've taken my son away, so I had no choice but to come and see him."

Upon hearing this, Mingxiu smiled ingratiatingly at Kangxi.

Mingxiu originally thought that Yinreng would rest today, but who knew that he would not rest today. Just as Yinreng was about to go to class, Mingxiu sent someone to invite him, and Yinreng came over and asked Kangxi for leave.

Yinzhi was on his way to school with Yinreng when he bumped into him and came along.

They happened to run into Yinzhi on the road, so they turned around together.

Honestly, she really didn't know.

Kangxi glanced at her, said nothing, and simply rubbed her shoulders.

Since the last incident, there has been an ambiguous feeling between the two of them. It's hard to describe the feeling, but Kangxi definitely feels that he wants to see Mingxiu more often.

Moreover, I always feel very calm and relaxed whenever I'm with Mingxiu.

Mingxiu hugged Kangxi and smiled foolishly. The atmosphere between the two became exceptionally warm. After cuddling for a while, they started preparing for lunch.

For lunch today, we had hot pot. Since there were children, Mingxiu made small pots, one for each person and one for each flavor. Mingxiu's was spicy; the seeds she had planted had grown quite a bit because she often watered them with spiritual spring water. There was even a chili pepper plant in the pot, which was a pleasant surprise, so Mingxiu put it in. The others had tomato hot pot.

Various dishes were laid out in front, including thinly sliced meat that had been frozen into blocks and shrimp paste made from fish meat, all served with Mingxiu's sesame sauce, making it exceptionally delicious.

The three children ate without even lifting their heads.

Emperor Kangxi also closed his eyes comfortably.

After the meal, Kangxi ordered the three children to be sent away; those who needed to go home could go home, and those who needed to go to school could prepare to go to school.

After everyone had left, Mingxiu looked at Kangxi, who was still sitting there, with a puzzled expression.

"Your Majesty, are you not busy this afternoon?" She was so sleepy, she wanted to go to sleep.

Kangxi glanced at her, but didn't say anything and walked into the inner room.

Mingxiu followed behind and saw Kangxi taking off his clothes and preparing to lie down on the bed.

Speechless, Mingxiu thought, "Why not just take a nap? Why not say something?" She shook her head, took off her coat, and lay down on the bed.

As soon as she touched the bed, Kangxi pulled her into his arms. Without resisting, Mingxiu simply rolled over, hugged Kangxi's waist, and fell asleep.

The afternoon sun wasn't very strong, and Mingxiu even had the curtains thickened several times to prevent any sunlight from getting in.

When Mingxiu woke up in the afternoon, she looked at Kangxi still in bed and for a moment lost track of time.

Looking at Kangxi, who was still sleeping with his eyes closed, Mingxiu raised her hand to stroke his eyebrows and eyes. This man was really handsome. Although she had been looking at him for a long time, she still couldn't get tired of him.

Mingxiu would secretly add spiritual spring water to his meals, along with the spiritual spring water that was sometimes specially given to Kangxi. It wasn't visible from the inside out, but his skin became more and more beautiful. The rough pores and the marks left by smallpox that were originally there gradually disappeared. Mingxiu liked Kangxi's smooth cheeks more and more as he touched them.

I couldn't resist lifting my head and giving him a kiss.

Then Mingxiu felt a sudden increase in weight on her body.

Looking at the person appearing above her head, Mingxiu felt a little embarrassed. What if she got caught stealing a kiss? How embarrassing!

Kangxi looked at the somewhat shy woman below, smiled with satisfaction, and then hooked her chin and kissed her.

They finally released her after a long while. Mingxiu was already panting from the kisses, her round eyes filled with desire.

Kangxi felt a tickle in his throat and kissed her again. Mingxiu couldn't take the kiss and resisted with whimpering.

But she was too weak to resist.

She watched helplessly as Kangxi stripped off all her clothes, his hands grabbing her ample breasts and kneading them playfully.

With a groan, Mingxiu finally felt herself being pulled back to reality.

She was a little confused and couldn't quite process how things had turned out this way. Also, she was hungry and wanted to eat.

Before I could figure it out, I was dragged into this downward spiral, losing all sense of time and place.
