Chapter 1: So I am actually from the Guoluo clan?

Qingrou is two years old.

She knew she came from another time and space when she was still an infant. However, due to the limitations of her body, her memories of the first few years after birth were very vague. It wasn't until she was two years old that she could barely remember some things.

Then she gradually learned that she had come to the Qing Dynasty, born into a noble family. Her father had died in battle, and her mother had passed away shortly after her birth. She was a true orphan, but fortunately, her maternal grandfather's family took good care of her.

He's a pitiful kid.

She sat on a rock in the training ground, her chubby cheeks squeezed together, looking exceptionally cuddly.

Because of the excessive fat on her arms, she couldn't extend them to a right angle and could only barely support them.

To the uncles and brothers not far away, it looked somewhat comical, yet exceptionally cute, and they couldn't resist the urge to grab it.

But none of these rough men dared to extend their calloused hands to gently rub their little niece's cheeks. And with a stern-faced, menacing man standing guard nearby, they dared not do it even more.

Qingrou pouted, not caring. She was used to being teased anyway. She took out a small handkerchief from her sleeve, carefully folded it on her chubby little legs, and began her daily reflection.

Why did she have to travel back to the Qing Dynasty? And to the famous Guo Luoluo clan? She gradually realized this question, and when she first found out, it was like being struck by lightning.

Orphaned at a young age and taken in by her doting maternal grandfather... This doesn't seem like a particularly unusual story, but it becomes extraordinary when it happens to Guo Luoluo!

What will become of her now?

A shrew? Jealous? These are the labels that those unofficial histories have attached to her.

Although we don't know exactly what kind of person Guo Luoluo was in history, her end certainly wasn't good. After all, the Eighth Prince was eventually stripped of his yellow sash and given a somewhat humiliating name.

Qingrou sighed, which prompted the wet nurse beside her to patiently stroke her.

The young lady is well-behaved and sensible, a sweet child that everyone cherishes. However, she has one flaw: she always acts like a little adult. The ladies and gentlemen of the household worry that she might overthink things.

Sigh, what does a little kid have so many thoughts about? Just cook him a nice meal, and he'll forget all his troubles.

She furrowed her brows, making her light and delicate eyebrows look somewhat comical.

If someone else were to make such an expression, it might seem mature, but for a chubby, fair-skinned little girl like her, it's simply adorable.

She was inexplicably transported to the Qing Dynasty, but she wasn't too surprised. And it was even a case of being reborn as a baby... How fashionable!

However, she was born into a wealthy family and did not suffer much after transmigrating. She was indeed very lucky!

If she hadn't known that she was the famous Eighth Prince's wife and that her future might be bleak,

Why did she come to the idea that she was that pitiful Eighth Prince's wife? It all came down to the few TV dramas she had watched in modern times! This was all the historical knowledge Qingrou had left about the Qing Dynasty!

The burly man with a stubble beard, wearing a short shirt that barely covered his arms, and gray hair, who was grinning foolishly at him from not far away, was his dear maternal grandfather, Prince An.

Although she was aware that her identity was rather special, she still felt a strong sense of familiarity when she looked at the old man not far away, after all, her maternal grandfather had been with her since she could remember.

While he was training his grandsons in martial arts, he also kept an eye on this area.

When Qingrou looked up, Prince An gave her a silly grin, revealing his pearly white teeth.

Alas, it is said that when Prince An was in the military camp, he had a stern face and a fierce aura that could scare the new recruits to tears!

But looking at his silly grin now, where is the dignified image he had in the army or the imperial court?

In many film and television dramas, the Eighth Prince's wife, Lady Guo Luoluo, is always portrayed as arrogant and domineering, relying on her own birth and her maternal grandfather's favor.

When she first watched the TV series, Qingrou might have been skeptical, but her happy life and the star-like treatment she received over the past two years have shown her that the unofficial history is not false!

At least in terms of describing the favor bestowed upon Lady Luo of Guoluo, it's not exaggerated enough!

Needless to say, my maternal grandfather was a cold-faced, burly man who would carefully serve me pastries, personally feed me medicine when I was sick, and even brew the medicine himself. Because I loved jasmine, he planted a whole yard full of jasmine flowers.

Because she was born with a weak constitution, she often got sick when she was a little over one year old. Her maternal grandfather, a tall man, would secretly shed tears when he saw her face burning red.

Such examples are too numerous to mention.

Several of her uncles also spoiled her a bit. Her eldest uncle, the eldest son of the family, was usually very dignified, but he would put himself on her shoulders and teach her to read very childish primers word by word.

My second uncle is away leading troops in battles most of the year and rarely comes back, but every time he sends something or writes a letter, he never forgets to prepare a separate one for her, and his words are full of affection.

Third Uncle was a "cultured man" who held an important official position in the imperial court. He didn't express his emotions very strongly, but Qingrou knew that many of the jade and gold toys in her courtyard were sent over by Third Uncle with great eagerness.

Her own mother, who died young, was the youngest girl in the family. She was pampered and spoiled as she grew up. Her mother was reluctant to send her off to get married, but her life was full of misfortunes. She passed away after giving birth to her daughter.

Whether it was due to being transferred to another's affections or because she was truly charming, Qingrou was always the most favored and the most unapproachable person in the manor.

She grew up carefree for two years—what could she do even if she knew she might have transmigrated into the historically famous Guo Luoluo clan?

She was just a little baby who ate and slept all day long. She couldn't remember much in her head. If she thought about too many things, she would easily get sleepy and be in a daze all day.

Then she began to toddle and get to know the people in the mansion.

Her small, still-developing mind was already completely filled with such thoughts, so she couldn't care less about what kind of life was happening in the palace or what kind of person the Eighth Prince, whom she might be paired with, would be.

She shuddered at the thought.

Although she didn't know what the Eighth Prince was like, she had had enough of the backstabbing and infighting in large families back in modern times!

Looking at the peaceful scene not far away, she secretly clenched her little fists, wishing to stay away from the prince for safety!

Those royal princes are all cunning and shrewd! I, a mere innocent girl, am no match for them!
