Chapter 7 Going to the Imperial Garden



"You stay with your wet nurse and don't run around, okay..." Hesheli looked around, waved her hand, and told her personal nanny to follow. It would have been too conspicuous to have her daughter-in-law go out with her...

"I just noticed it's getting cloudy outside, it looks like it's going to rain. Remember to bring your oil-paper umbrellas, don't let Zhuzhu get wet." Hesheli frowned worriedly. Jingrou is weak, and we've managed to fatten her up a bit recently, we can't afford to let her suffer even the slightest injury.

The wet nurse immediately nodded solemnly in agreement.

Surrounded by several people, and with Jingrou held in her wet nurse's arms, they managed to quietly slip away from the palace.

It was a sunny afternoon just a moment ago, but not long after they went inside to attend the banquet, the sky turned cloudy. Now, as Jingrou and her nanny came out, a light drizzle began to fall.

Fortunately, the Imperial Garden in the palace wasn't far, and Jingrou was dressed warmly; otherwise, her wet nurse would definitely have taken her there. The Imperial Garden was at its quietest and least crowded at this time of year, so after discussing it, the wet nurse and the nanny decided to take Jingrou there to play, to avoid any mishaps caused by too many people outside.

Jingrou, of course, wholeheartedly agreed.

The wet nurse and the nanny didn't want to cause trouble, and of course she didn't want to either!

As soon as they entered the Imperial Garden, Jingrou asked her wet nurse to put her down. The wet nurse, worried that the umbrella wouldn't protect her, followed closely beside her.

Before long, the group strolled to a rather secluded spot. There weren't many flowers in bloom, but a rockery stood out elegantly. Turning a corner, Jingrou spotted a small figure kneeling not far away.
