Chapter 72 almost ended right at the beginning.

Wan'er slowly got up from the ground. "What's wrong? Do you think I'm going to lie in bed for the rest of my life?"

This sharp gaze made Yu Yan involuntarily take a step back. Wan'er's eyes were filled with murderous intent, as if they could kill people invisibly, making people feel fear.

Feeling guilty, Yu Yan quickly lowered her head, not daring to look directly at her, and could only say, "It would be wonderful if Your Highness could recover." She couldn't understand how Wan'er had suddenly recovered.

"Could it be that my body immediately returned to normal just because I didn't take a dose of medicine?" she wondered to herself. Only this explanation made sense now.

Wan'er didn't care what she thought, and said angrily, "Since when did you get to control the life and death of people in my palace? You've overstepped your bounds and put me in such a position?"

"How did she try to harm me?" Wan'er asked, her eyes full of disdain. It was clearly her who wanted to harm her, yet she insisted on framing someone else.

Yu Yan quietly raised her head. "Your Majesty, think about it. This lowly maid knew perfectly well that you couldn't bear bitterness, yet she deliberately didn't put honey in the medicine. Wan'er sneered, "Is that so?"

“Yes, everything I said is true. Please, Your Highness, see for yourself.” Yu Yan said, while secretly observing Wan’er’s reaction. Seeing that there was nothing unusual, she assumed that Wan’er believed her as always.

"Yu Yan, you are truly meticulous, able to notice even such subtle movements." Her words were devoid of emotion, only carrying a sinister undertone.

Yu Yan assumed Wan'er was angry because of Qi Lan, so she continued, "Therefore, Your Majesty, you must kill her to eliminate this future threat." As she spoke, she gestured with her hand, her eyes revealing malice.
