The mother and daughter had dreamed of wealth and luxury their whole lives, but it all vanished like a bubble.
Fu Lin made these decisions without Da Yu'er stopping him. She was worried that Wan'er would be foolish enough to plead for Yu Yan, but now it seems that Wan'er is much smarter than she imagined.
Da Yu'er looked at Fu Lin and said, "You've been through so much trouble. You still have court tomorrow. Go back to the Hall of Mental Cultivation and rest."
Fu Lin wanted to rest in Wan'er's palace, but when he remembered that there were traces of Yu Yan's presence on that bed, he changed his mind and nodded in agreement.

Wan'er nodded, gesturing for Qi Lan to come in.
As Qi Lan wiped Wan'er's face, she said softly, "It's a pity that Consort Agge escaped this calamity."
Wan'er smiled and said, "It's alright. She's so shrewd, but we can't bring her down with just this one thing. However, she's been too conspicuous. With the Empress Dowager's intelligence, she's bound to have some suspicions about her. We'll just wait and see."
Qi Lan nodded. "This servant understands."
After Wan'er lay down on the bed, Qi Lan tactfully took his leave.
The reason why Ag knew these things was entirely due to Wan'er's plan.
