Yinzhen looked at Honghui who was held in Yinreng's arms and smiled awkwardly.
"I forgot this little guy was still here."
Yinreng rubbed Honghui's little head soothingly, then looked up at Yinzhen.
"You don't know there's another thing..."
"What's going on?"
Yinzhen lowered his body and sat back down.
Yinreng recalled how Yinzhi got Kangxi's promise and ran to him crying. The complicated feeling in Yinreng's heart flashed away.
Since Yinzhen could find out what happened ten years ago so easily, he didn't believe that Kangxi would not be able to find Tong Guowei when he found Mingzhu.
But he found out, what did he do to the Tong family?
He promised Yinzhi that he would vent his anger for him, but in the end it was no different from fart.
Seeing Yinreng's silence, Yinzhen suddenly felt anxious.
"Brother, what else is going on here?"
Yinreng looked down at Honghui.
"Some things are not suitable for Honghui to know. Please wait for a while. If you still want to know tomorrow, come to Yuqing Palace to find me."
"Hey, second brother, just tell me, otherwise I won't be able to sleep today... Or how about you send Honghui back first?"
Yinzhen was itching to do something, so he naturally didn't want to wait, so he made a suggestion.
Yinreng glared at him.
"If you don't behave like that, I won't tell you!"
Yinzhen immediately shut his mouth.
When the two of them weren't paying attention, Honghui rolled his eyes and came up with a good idea.
Honghui didn't even finish his small portion of double skin milk and wanted to go to the bathroom before leaving.
Yinreng asked Dachun to take him there.
Yinzhen wanted to take advantage of this period of time to ask Yinreng some questions, but since Yinreng refused to give in, there was nothing he could do.
After Honghui came back, the group left the milk tea shop.
It was already past noon, and many of the people shopping outside had dispersed, probably looking for somewhere to eat.
Yinreng asked Honghui if there was anywhere else he wanted to go, and Honghui said he was hungry.
Yinreng recalled that Honghui hadn't even finished a small portion of double-skin milk, and thought it was due to a weak spleen and stomach.
At his age, he should have no resistance to sweets, but Honghui has to restrain himself in everything.
Yinreng couldn't help but feel a little distressed.
"Go to your place and buy Honghui some porridge that's easy to digest."
Yinzhen glanced at Honghui, wanting to find out why his second brother brought him out today, but in the end he could only utter one word.
"become."
Although Honghui was only six years old, he was born into a royal family and must have understood everything he should understand.
If he asked the wrong question, it would be bad if the little guy took it to heart.
He suspected that his second brother wanted to adopt Honghui.
After Honghui had eaten and drunk his fill, he began to feel sleepy again.
Yinreng put Honghui on the bed to rest, walked to the outer room, and had lunch with Yinzhen.
During the more than a year in Weihaiwei, he has developed the habit of eating three meals a day. After taking Honghui out for a morning, he was really a little hungry.
Yinzhen took two bites, then turned his head to look into the inner room. Seeing that there was no movement on the bed, he asked Yinreng with relief,
"Second brother, why did you bring Honghui out today? Are you planning to adopt him as your own?"
"Cough! Cough cough cough..."
Upon hearing this, Yinreng choked on a mouthful of food which got stuck in his trachea, causing him to cough for a long time.
His voice was really loud, and Yinzhen was afraid that he would wake Honghui up, so he quickly offered him some water to calm him down.
"Don't be impatient, second brother, slow down!"
Yinreng finally recovered and slapped his hand away.
"What are you talking about, kid!"
"Why am I talking nonsense? I've never seen you treat Honghui this well before..."
Yinzhen murmured in a low voice in grievance.
Yinreng glared at him, then stood up and looked at Honghui worriedly. He found that Honghui still had his eyes closed, but just frowned, so he felt relieved.
He turned around and went back to the dining table.
What he didn't know was that he had been sleeping poorly ever since Honghui's health deteriorated.
In order to fool Ulanara, he had already learned how to pretend to be asleep.
So when Yinreng turned around and walked out, Honghui opened his eyes.
"You should know that Honghui hasn't been in good health recently, right?"
"Know."
Yin'er's brows twitched for a moment, and he finally realized what was wrong with his idea.
Even if my second brother wants to adopt a son, he must adopt a healthy one.
"Honghui was very healthy when he was little, but now he's so weak he can only eat a few mouthfuls of hot porridge. This isn't caused by the cold at all. Someone is plotting against Honghui."
Yinzhen was stunned and his face drooped instantly. He had only had a few contacts with Honghui, so he couldn't say whether he liked him or not, but the fact that someone was plotting against a descendant of the royal family still made him a little angry.
"Then bring him out today..."
"Your fourth brother and his wife are cleaning. Honghui has been served by those people since he was a child. There are some things that are not suitable for him to see."
"oh……"
Yinzhen suddenly realized.
"I have to send Honghui back this afternoon. Don't make wild guesses. Don't say I don't have the idea of adopting a child. Even if I did, I wouldn't adopt the fourth eldest son. What's wrong with your brain? It's really..."
Yinzhen hesitated, and then asked about the incident that happened ten years ago.
Yinreng took two more sips of wine before telling him what happened when his eldest brother came to him and cried.
When Yinzhen learned that his eldest brother asked his second brother to drink with him not because he had lost his son, but because he was sure that the emperor was also thinking about him, he felt mixed emotions.
Everyone could see the emperor's favoritism, but even after working in the court for several years, Yinzhen still didn't see that the emperor's favoritism had brought any substantial benefits to his second brother.
