Chapter 137 Kangxi's Visit

Wanwan realized that there seemed to be no good spots on her body, and her back was definitely no exception.

Last night, she was so tired that she didn't want to come anymore, but Kangxi still wanted more.

Then Wanwan lay face down on the bed. No matter what Kangxi said, she wouldn't move, but unexpectedly, Kangxi came from behind.

Last night, Kangxi was on Wanwan's back... sigh, it wasn't a good thing.

Although she had woken up, Wanwan still felt tired, so she asked Tingyu, "Tingyu?"

When Tingyu heard his mistress call him, he immediately went in to serve her. "Your Majesty, is there anything you need?"

Wanwan's voice was still hoarse, "What time is it?"

When Tingyu heard that her mistress's voice was hoarse, she went to pour Wanwan a glass of warm water. "Your Majesty, it's already noon. Your Majesty should drink some water to soothe your throat."

Upon hearing this, Wanwan thought to herself that she was indeed a maid who had grown up with her, so considerate. "Bring the water over."

Tingyu lifted the curtain and handed over the water, but she was still shocked when she saw her mistress's miserable state. This emperor was too cruel.

Wanwan also noticed Tingyu's slightly frightened expression. Although Tingyu composed herself in an instant, Wanwan still noticed it.

However, she didn't mind. After drinking a couple of sips of water to moisten her throat, she felt much better. "I'm still very tired right now. I'll sleep for a while longer. Don't wake me up. I'll wake up on my own."

Tingyu replied, "Yes, then after a while, I will instruct the kitchen to prepare lunch. Your Highness can eat whenever you wake up from your nap."

Wanwan: "Okay, I understand. Go out now and don't let anyone bother me. If anything happens, you and Tingfeng should handle it together."

Tingyu replied, "Yes, this servant will take her leave."

Tingyu walked out of the palace very quietly, closed the door, and instructed the others, "Keep your noise down and don't disturb Her Majesty."

Then he instructed the kitchen to prepare lunch later and keep it warm so that the Empress could eat lunch as soon as she got up.

Although it is very likely that this lunch will turn into dinner.

As for Wanwan, she continued to lie on the bed like a corpse after Tingyu left. She was really tired, but she couldn't fall asleep even when she closed her eyes.

He turned around.

Wanwan: "Ah...it hurts so much!"

This incident has caused Wanwan to harbor some resentment towards Kangxi. Wasn't he too ruthless last night?

I felt embarrassed to use my special ability while Tingyu was here, especially since there was quite a commotion last night. If she seemed normal today, it would seem a bit strange.

After Tingyu left, Wanwan still felt very uncomfortable, so she used her supernatural power to relieve herself a little, but she didn't dare to completely heal herself, otherwise what would happen if the marks on her body disappeared?

If nothing unexpected happens, tonight will still be my own business, and then I won't be able to hide it from Kangxi anymore.

After Wanwan used her wood-based abilities to soothe herself a little,

Wanwan: "Ugh... I feel much better."

Last night, by the time she finished using her powers, she had already passed out. She simply didn't have the strength to use them to make herself feel any better.

After Wanwan's body felt a little better, she continued to lie in bed, but for some reason, she still felt tired.

But she didn't feel so bad anymore; it was probably just psychological. Anyway, it was good to be asleep, and she didn't want to get up.

I closed my eyes and tried to sleep again. I thought I wouldn't be able to fall asleep, but I drifted off in a daze.

………………

Qianqing Palace

After reviewing the memorials, Emperor Kangxi said, "Advisor, go to Jingren Palace."

The consultant said, "He is a good man."

The advisor flicked his whisk and announced, "Prepare the carriage for Jingren Palace."

Emperor Kangxi arrived at noon because he knew that this was usually when Wanwan ate her meal.

He had originally planned to visit Qingqing, but when he arrived, he was surprised to find that she was still asleep.

"Your Majesty, the Empress is still asleep."

Kangxi thought to himself that this shouldn't be the case; if he had gone to bed at the hour of Yin (3-5 AM), it would already be noon by now.

They must have slept for four or five hours. They should be awake by now, no matter what.

He only slept for an hour last night, but he didn't seem particularly tired.

Kangxi said, "Alright, I understand. I'll go see her."

When Kangxi reached the door, he slowed his pace and quietly walked to the canopy bed, gently lifting the curtain with his hand.

Looking at Wanwan still fast asleep on the bed, Kangxi felt a little guilty. He had thought she would wake up around noon, but she hadn't woken up yet.

He lifted the curtain and sat down on the edge of the bed. She usually slept with her back to him, so when he slightly lifted the quilt, he saw the red plum blossoms on Wanwan's back.

He should have felt guilty or embarrassed, but seeing this scene, Kangxi felt his desires deepen for some reason.

His hand unconsciously touched Wanwan's back lightly.

At this moment, Wanwan had just fallen asleep, although she had already woken up when Kangxi touched her.

But she had no intention of opening her eyes. Although she wasn't physically tired, she just felt exhausted.

She also sensed the way Kangxi was staring at her.

Wanwan thought that Kangxi would glance at her, know that she was still asleep, and would turn back and leave, but to her surprise, he pulled the blanket off even more.

Wanwan thought to herself, 'No way, Kangxi wouldn't be that beastly, would he? Wasn't last night enough? Would he be indulging in debauchery during the day?'

But it seemed that Wanwan's thoughts had been confirmed, because Kangxi had already started kissing her on the back.

Wanwan was a little scared of herself, but she wasn't wearing any clothes.

If Emperor Kangxi really wanted to do something, wouldn't that be like a lamb being led to the slaughter?

But before she could finish thinking about it, Kangxi covered her with the blanket again.

The main reason is probably that Emperor Kangxi wasn't that beastly or incompetent; at least he probably wouldn't have indulged in debauchery in broad daylight.

Wanwan finally breathed a sigh of relief after Kangxi left.

She turned over and continued sleeping, ignoring Kangxi.

After Kangxi left, he asked Tingyu, "Did your empress sleep until now?"

Tingyu replied, "Your Majesty, Her Majesty woke up once around noon, but after drinking some warm water to moisten her throat, she went back to sleep. She said she didn't want the servants to disturb her."

Kangxi was somewhat relieved at this point, as he had just thought Wanwan had been asleep.

She slept for too long; I was afraid I went too far last night and hurt her. It seems she's just tired now.

Emperor Kangxi said, "I understand. In that case, let you and your daughter sleep well and don't disturb her."

Listening to the rain is "yes".

Keep up the good work and keep writing!
