After running out of the Imperial Garden, Lanqin sprinted in one direction. Although she ran fast, the footsteps of the palace maids seemed to echo in her ears. Lanqin kept running until she reached a palace she had never been to before. She immediately stepped to the palace gate and leaned against the mottled red lacquered door, panting for breath.
Just as she was about to leave, a pair of hands suddenly reached out from behind her and dragged her inside the door.
