Damn it! The Nian family is taking this opportunity to retaliate, it's outrageous! Following the method taught by the Fourth Master, Lanqin quickly came up with a plan and gradually settled herself on the horse.
As she ran, Lanqin felt that she had mastered the rhythm of the horse's run, and her fear gradually subsided through self-adjustment.
As Lanqin ran, she felt increasingly at ease. She raced across the meadows again and again, and soon entered the woods. Lanqin gripped the reins tightly, constantly trying to adjust the horse's direction to prevent it from crashing into a tree trunk.
No longer hearing the sound of other horses' hooves, Lanqin turned around and found no one behind her. It turned out that Nian Shi, whom she had thought had been following her and causing trouble, was gone.
"Damn! Where am I?!" Lanqin pulled on the reins, stopping the horse.
Looking around, she was completely disoriented. Where had she come from? Lanqin looked around, utterly unable to recognize the direction she had come from!
"It's alright, maybe we'll run into hunters!" Lanqin comforted herself.
After this mental preparation, Lanqin felt less panicked. Relying on her knowledge of the cardinal directions, and considering whether the camp was located in the south or north, she rode off in one direction.
Meanwhile, Consort Tian and Consort Chu, seeing that Lanqin, Lady Nian, and Lady Li were nowhere to be seen, had long lost their interest in riding horses.
"Sister Tian, where have they all gone? We can't even see a trace of them!" said Madam Chu. "Just now, Consort Nian went after Consort Niu, but we don't know which way Consort Li went."
"Sigh, this place is so vast, let's hurry back and send people to search!" said Madam Tian.
"It seems this is the only way!" said Madam Chu.
The two women immediately turned back on their horses to call for help. Lady Nian was already on another road leading back to the camp. She had whipped Lanqin's horse wildly, which had vented her anger, but afterwards, she regretted it. If anything happened to Lady Niohuru, she would be held responsible.
Thinking of this, Nian wanted to go look for her, but unfortunately the forest was too big and the grass too deep, and she had long since lost track of where Lanqin had gone!
Now, when Li saw that Lanqin had been lost by Nian, she was furious. But before she could be angry, she ran into Lanqin.
She kept chasing Lanqin until she herself ran inside, losing all sense of direction.
When Lanqin saw her, she was almost moved to tears.
"Sister Li!" Lanqin had never been so happy to see Li Shi before.
Li never expected to be so lucky to meet her so quickly.
"Sister Niu, I've been looking for you for ages!" Li said excitedly.
Both of them dismounted and almost embraced each other.
"Sister Li, do you know the way back?" Lanqin asked.
Li's mind raced, and she shook her head, saying, "I was in such a hurry to catch you that I forgot to ask for directions!"
Lanqin was disappointed to see that Li Shi also couldn't remember the way, but it was better than wandering aimlessly in the woods alone. Besides, since both she and Li Shi were missing, they would surely send people to look for them.
“It’s alright, we’ll just wait here, they’ll come looking for me,” Lanqin said.
Li said, "Yes, let's rest for a while!"
The two tied their horse to a tree and then sat down on a protruding rock.
