Chapter 1871 Visiting Lady Fucha

"Consort, what Liu said is too far-fetched. Could it be that Lady Fucha is someone who has died once?" Si Hua's teeth chattered as she said this. They already believed in ghosts and gods; even if Lan Qin didn't believe before, she did now. Otherwise, how could she explain her transmigration?

“This world is inherently strange, so what is impossible? It’s just that it’s beyond human comprehension,” Lanqin said.

Back in the South Courtyard, Lanqin kept thinking about what Fucha had said. Had Fucha truly been reborn?

So how much does she actually know? Is it because her past life was still with the Fourth Prince, which is why she acts strangely?

With these questions in mind, Lanqin went to her study alone. She knew that she couldn't find any records about the events during Kangxi's reign, so she could only speculate.

After much deliberation, Lanqin decided to visit Lady Fucha. She got up and called Sihua to accompany her to Chunhui Courtyard.

Lanqin had never been to Chunhui Garden before, but she saw that it was filled with all kinds of flowering trees. As she entered, she was greeted by a rich fragrance of flowers.

"The fragrance of the flowers here is too strong, it's making me feel uncomfortable!" Si Hua said.

“Indeed, there are too many flowers! The fragrance is far too strong,” Lanqin said.

After speaking, Lanqin did not go towards Fucha's house, but instead walked around the back of her house. Sihua was puzzled, but seeing Lanqin walk, she followed.

They came to the back of the house and saw that there was indeed a small grove of trees behind Fucha's house.

Lanqin looked carefully and discovered that the back of Liu's house was to the east. She said she had overheard Fucha's conversation and guessed that she was hiding behind those trees.

“Master, this place is rather eerie, and it’s only daytime now! It will probably be even more terrifying at night!” Si Hua said.

"Let's go see Lady Fucha!" Lanqin said after looking around again.

The two women then headed around towards the main house. As soon as they entered the house, they smelled a strange aroma.

A maid was standing in the room, wiping the furniture. When she saw someone coming, she turned around and looked at Lanqin, but she didn't recognize her at all.

"Is your princess here? This is Consort Niu," Si Hua said when she saw that the maid did not recognize Lan Qin.

The maid was startled and quickly curtsied before rushing into the room to report.

A moment later, Lady Fucha came out of the inner room. Her clothes had been changed, and she no longer looked so besieged in the East Courtyard.

"What brings you here, Consort Fu? I have failed to greet you properly," said Lady Fucha with a slight smile.

She hadn't expected Lanqin to come, so when she heard Ping'er come in to report, she was startled, but she quickly changed her clothes and came out.

"Princess Fucha, there are some things I'd like to say to you. Is it convenient?" Lanqin had already seen a fish-shaped flat incense burner on a high table in the room, with incense burning inside.

The fragrance that Lanqin smelled as soon as she entered the room was coming from that censer!

"Of course! This way, please, Consort." Lady Fucha concealed the surprise in her eyes and invited Lanqin into the inner room.

After Lanqin followed Fucha to a side room and sat down, tea was served, and the maids were dismissed, leaving only Lanqin and Fucha.

"Does Princess Fucha like burning incense?" Lanqin asked.

"Yes, it's just a hobby! By the way, does the Princess Consort like it too?" Lady Fucha asked, raising an eyebrow.
