Chapter 2015 Narrow-minded

After the maids had finished packing, they heard footsteps at the door. Mingyu thought it was Bechuk and went to greet him, but instead bumped into Wuxiha and Xueying coming together.

"Sister Mingyu is here," Xueying said gently. Wuxiha, standing beside her, simply smiled at Mingyu as a greeting. Xueying had dragged Wuxiha along to greet Mingyu; otherwise, given Wuxiha's personality, she wouldn't have wanted to come at all.

Mingyu noticed that Ushiha remained indifferent towards her, and that when he invited her and Bechuk to his residence to admire the flowers last time, she declined, claiming she was unwell.

"Come in and sit down! Don't tell me you went to the Western-style building?" Mingyu asked, seeing Xueying's gentle smile and feeling closer to her.

"Yes, there's a garden maze over there, it's really fun. I heard you can even go at night and have the maids walk around with lanterns, it's quite a unique experience," Xueying said.

The three entered the house and settled in according to their status. Wuxiha looked around at the furnishings, which were similar to his own, and then at the servants provided, which were all about the same. He said, "Sister Mingyu, since you're here, please don't stand on ceremony. Make yourself at home. I'm a little tired and would like to rest for a while. Xueying, would you like to go back and rest?"

Ushiha never really liked Fucha Mingyu, who was rigid and followed all the rules like a well-bred young lady, so he had no desire to stay with her for long.

Seeing Wuxiha's state and noticing that Fucha Mingyu's face was noticeably paler than before, Xueying quickly tried to smooth things over, saying, "Wuxiha got up especially early today, she must be tired now. Let her go back and rest for a while, and I'll keep you company for a bit."

Mingyu nodded and said kindly to Wuxiha, "Sister, you must be tired. Go back and rest."

Ushiha then got up and left, leaving only Xueying and Mingyu in the room.

"Sister Xueying and Wuxiha seem to get along very well?" Mingyu said, picking up the teacup brought to her by the maid.

“They often joke and laugh together. Actually, Wuxiha has a very free and straightforward personality. Sister, please don’t blame her.” Xueying explained for Wuxiha. “She did get up early today and went to the Western-style building with her sister. She must be tired now.”

"Sister Xueying, what are you saying? I have never blamed her. Your words make it sound like I am a petty person." Mingyu was used to acting like a rich young lady at home. As the only legitimate daughter of Master Fucha, she had older brothers and younger brothers who all doted on her. Now that she had come here, she was quite unhappy to see Wuxiha treating her so lightly and making her stay in the west room. However, she did not want to show it openly.

Seeing that Mingyu had no intention of joking at all, Xueying was slightly taken aback and said, "Sister, you misunderstand. You must be tired since you just arrived. I won't bother you any longer."

Ulanara Xueying was not someone to be vented on easily. Although she did not know why Fucha Mingyu was suddenly speaking to her in such a hostile tone, she would never be someone else's punching bag. She immediately got up and, without waiting for Fucha Mingyu's reaction, went out with the help of her maid.

“Hey, what does this Princess Ulanara mean? The princess didn’t say anything to her, why is she giving us attitude?” Zi Dai said quickly, trying to appease Fucha Mingyu when she saw her princess’s face darken.

“This is not our manor, so we must be careful with our words and actions. It seems that Xueying is a clever and perceptive person. I only said a few words, and she was able to leave so easily. It is clear that she understood what I meant.”

Zi Dai looked at Ming Yu with confusion and asked, "What did you say, Princess? I don't understand."

Fucha Mingyu sighed softly and said, "When I said I wasn't a petty person, I meant that they lived in the east wing from the beginning, clearly treating this place as their own home. In the future, this courtyard can never belong to that eccentric Third Princess, nor the Fourth Princess. Zidai, who do you think will ultimately own this courtyard?"

There's no need to even think about it; Prince Yong's private property naturally belongs to his son. And Hongli is his most favored son, so this courtyard will most likely belong to Hongli in the future, which means it will belong to her, Fucha Mingyu.

So when Fucha Mingyu heard that Wuxiha and Ulanara Xueying were living in the east room, she was not happy. Wuxiha was fine, she was a princess of the Yongwang Mansion and Hongli's sister, so it was acceptable. But what was Ulanara Xueying? She was just the niece of the Fujin. How could she compare to her? She was the future mistress of this garden!

With these thoughts in mind, Fucha Mingyu sat there brooding over herself.

"Sister Mingyu!" Bechuk had just woken up after a short nap in her room. She was unaware that Wuxiha and Xueying had just come by. When she reached the door, she saw Fucha Mingyu looking displeased and called out to her.

"My sister is here." When Fucha Mingyu saw that it was Bechuke, her expression softened. She quickly stood up, walked to the door, and ushered Bechuke inside.

"What's wrong, sister? You don't seem very happy." Bechuk felt that he had been very enthusiastic, so why was Sister Fucha unhappy?

"It's nothing, I was just thinking about my mother's health. Don't worry about it, sister," Fucha Mingyu quickly said, trying to cover it up.

Zi Dai then said, "Third Princess and Xue Ying just came to see you, but they only stayed for a short while, not even for the time it takes to drink a cup of tea, before they left."

Fucha Mingyu felt humiliated and glared at her maid, annoyed by her talkativeness. Wherever Fucha Mingyu went, she was always surrounded by people, fawning over her.

“Oh? That’s just my third sister’s personality, don’t take it to heart. She’s been like this since she was little, she doesn’t care about anyone except Mother. Xueying is usually gentle and peaceful, she must have been a little tired from playing at the Western-style building, don’t take it to heart,” Biechuke explained. Although her personality was somewhat compatible with Fucha Mingyu’s, she wasn’t the kind of woman who wanted to be the center of attention, so she explained it this way when she heard Zidai say this.

"It must be, Zi Dai. You maid, if you say another word, I'll shut your mouth." Fucha Mingyu glared at Zi Dai, signaling her to shut up.

“Hongli just sent someone to tell us that they have prepared a meal at Wan’an Fanghe and invited us to dine together. We’ll go with Wuxiha and Xueying later,” Bechuk said.
