The carriage trotted along towards the overpass in the south of the city.
Sure enough, as soon as the carriage entered the south of the city, the streets immediately became more crowded, and various vendors' cries filled the air.
Ushiha impatiently stopped the carriage and said to Qingcao, "Let's go, get off."
After the master and servant came down, the two guards who had been following them caught up as well. Ushiha didn't really want them to come along, but remembering Lanqin's appearance, he had no choice but to agree.
The streets were bustling with people, filled with all sorts of vendors selling food, performing acrobatics, and selling southern goods.
Ushiha pulled on the grass, looking at this and that. Everything filled her with curiosity and interest, and before long, the two tails following behind her were carrying hands full of the southern goods that Ushiha had bought.
"Princess, what do you need all these things for? You even bought this rattle drum." Qingcao's hands were already full.
"I bought these for Namin's child. She's pregnant, isn't she?" Ushiha said, looking at the items on the stall.
“Princess, the Third Princess is only two months pregnant. Isn’t this selling her too early?” Qingcao said.
“Preparation is key to success. Since we’re going to give it away anyway, let’s buy it now,” Ushiha said.
Green Grass and two guards followed behind Ushiha, letting her buy all sorts of random things.
"Hey, candied hawthorn, I want candied hawthorn!" Upon hearing a vendor's cry for candied hawthorn, Wuxiha immediately dropped what he was holding, grabbed Qingcao, and called out.
The four of them, master and servants, made their way through the crowd and arrived at the stall selling candied hawthorns. Ushiha kept looking at the candied hawthorns dripping with sugar syrup.
"Miss, would you like a skewer of candied hawthorns?" the vendor said hastily, seeing the interest in Wuxiha's eyes.
"Okay, let me see," Ushiha said with a sweet smile. She was dressed in bright red today, and the red peony silk flower in her hair made her face look very rosy.
"Why don't you all have a skewer too?" Ushiha said, turning to the three of them.
Both guards were already carrying food, so they had no hands left to take the candied hawthorns. They both shook their heads, indicating that they wouldn't eat them.
"Green Grass, don't you love sweets? Why don't you want any?" Ushiha asked, looking at Green Grass.
"Princess, where would I get the hands to hold this?" Qingcao said with a bitter face.
Ushi chuckled and said, "Give me two skewers, I'll feed you!"
So, Ushiha bought two strings of candied hawthorns and ate them as he walked, occasionally feeding one to Qingcao.
Because she was dressed very brightly and had bought so many things, she stood out even more among the ordinary people.
"Hey, there seems to be someone wielding a big knife over there. Let's go check it out!" Ushiha said, tossing aside an empty candied hawthorn stick.
So the four of them walked to the side of the performance area, where they saw a performance of breaking a large stone on the chest, with a crowd of people watching.
"Princess, this is really scary!" Qingchao looked at the middle person, who was shirtless and had his braid coiled around his neck, even though it was the middle of winter.
“There are tricks to these. Don’t be afraid!” Ushiha said with great interest.
Among the crowd stood several petty thieves, who actually planned to take advantage of the confusion while people were watching the performance to steal some silver. Ushiha and his servant quickly caught their attention.
