Less than an hour later, Suhar, panting heavily, brought a Western Region doctor dressed in strange attire into the palace. The Fourth Prince and Lanqin exchanged a glance, hesitant to believe it. Lanqin excitedly went to greet him, leading the doctor into the inner chamber. Because of the language barrier, Lanqin didn't know how to explain Hongli's condition to the doctor. Imperial Physician Yang had never seen a doctor dressed like this before and didn't understand their language. Suhar acted as a translator.
Lanqin personally opened the clothes that were originally covering Hongli and let the doctor examine him. Sure enough, the doctor smiled and nodded at Lanqin after a short while, signaling her to leave.
Lanqin anxiously tried to explain her identity with gestures, wanting to stay inside, but the doctor shook his head and refused. Wuxiha then helped Lanqin up and comforted her, "Mother, don't worry, this is a famous doctor from the Western Regions. If he says there's hope, he's definitely right!"
Lanqin hesitated before retreating. Time passed second by second, and Lanqin's heart remained tense. At the slightest movement inside the room, Lanqin wanted to rush in. If it weren't for Wuxiha stopping her, Lanqin probably wouldn't have been able to hold on for long.
The door to the inner room opened, and the doctor slowly walked out. After bowing to Fourth Master and Lanqin with the Western Regions greeting, he smiled and nodded. Lanqin immediately rushed in to check on them.
Hongli lay on the bed expressionlessly. Although he had not woken up, his complexion was much healthier than before, and the discoloration on his lips and limbs had faded. He was breathing steadily and his heart was beating strongly, just like when he was asleep.
Lanqin carefully examined Hongli's entire body and, seeing that he seemed to be getting better, she sat down on the edge of the bed with relief.
