Chapter 2933 Hidden Moon Pavilion

The Seventeenth Prince followed the two young maids as they wandered through the garden. Fortunately, the darkness provided cover, and the maids, preoccupied with their journey, were completely unaware that someone was following them.

They crossed small bridges and passed many houses, finally reaching the top of these wooden buildings. The path was winding and complicated; without the maid's guidance, the Seventeenth Prince probably wouldn't have been able to find his way even after two days of searching.

The house in front was brightly lit, with flowing curtains, clearly the residence of the most powerful person in the area. A large plaque in front of the house read "Cangyue Tower," and the Seventeenth Master concluded that this was the lair of the White Lotus Sect leader and the Fourteenth Master.

The maidservant went straight to the door, where guards were stationed. They checked the roast goose in the maidservant's hands before letting them in. The Seventeenth Prince couldn't get in, so he found a spot where he could observe what was inside while also hiding himself.

The Seventeenth Prince watched as the little maid cautiously walked into the room, and a figure could be seen faintly through the curtain.

Big belly! It's the leader of the White Lotus Sect!

Zhu Wanqing, supporting her back, slowly walked out. A young maidservant, trembling, knelt before her and presented a plate. Zhu Wanqing glared at her impatiently and complained, "Why did you take so long?"

The maids exchanged a glance, nervously lowered their heads, and when Zhu Wanqing came down and opened the plate, she immediately flew into a rage, pointing at the plate and shouting, "What is this? Are you trying to fool me with this?"

The Seventeenth Prince was startled by Zhu Wanqing's anger. He was shocked that a woman could be so ruthless. He couldn't help but gasp and patiently observed her.

"Master, please forgive me, Master, please forgive me..." The little maid quickly prostrated herself on the ground, crying and begging.

Zhu Wanqing touched her belly, frowning as if trying her best to soothe herself and the baby inside, murmuring, "Baby, don't be afraid, Mother knows you miss your roast chicken..." After a while, the movements in her belly subsided, and Zhu Wanqing took a deep breath, looking disdainfully at the maid kneeling on the ground, and said angrily, "Don't you know I'm pregnant? Why do you deliberately provoke me? This child in my belly is the only hope for the future of our White Lotus Sect, don't you understand?"

The two maids were now deathly pale, too frightened to speak, nodding frantically, "Master, please forgive us! We went to get you the roast chicken, but we tripped and fell on the way... and the roast chicken..."

Another maidservant chimed in, "We were worried about the Master's health, so we had no choice but to bring roast goose... Master, please calm down. We know we were wrong, and we will never dare to do it again..."

The maidservant said in a trembling voice, "Master's health is paramount. Please don't harm yourself for the sake of us servants. If you wish to punish or scold me, I will have no complaints..."

Even the Seventeenth Prince was astonished by Zhu Wanqing's words and actions. How could someone so violent possibly reform the White Lotus Sect? Could it be that everything Baili had heard about her was false? What hope was there for the future of the White Lotus Sect? This sect leader was wholeheartedly opposed to the court and the Qing Dynasty. How could she hand over the evil sect she had painstakingly built to a child with Qing Dynasty blood?

What exactly is the relationship between the Fourteenth Prince and this woman? Why would he risk opposing the Fourth Prince and abandoning his wife and children to stay in the White Lotus Sect? Is there some other hidden story behind this? The Seventeenth Prince's curiosity has been piqued. Now, only the Fourteenth Prince can provide the answers. The Seventeenth Prince just wants to find the Fourteenth Prince as soon as possible.

Zhu Wanqing's anger subsided considerably. The maids helped her sit down, and she sighed, feeling extremely hungry. She reluctantly reached for her chopsticks and picked up a piece of roast goose, taking a few bites. The maids kneeling on the ground breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing Zhu Wanqing eat, but they were still trembling with fear.

"You may all step back. Don't be so rash next time. The sect leader is merciful this time and will let you off..." Zhu Wanqing didn't finish speaking before her personal maid behind her gave the order.

The two maids kowtowed repeatedly to express their gratitude, but Zhu Wanqing gave them a look, and the maids scrambled out of the room.
