Lanqin rested in the hall for a while. She was exhausted from the day's events and just wanted to lie in bed and not move at all. When she returned to her bedroom, Lanqin found that Fourth Master was not asleep, but just dozing off, so she went to massage his shoulders.
"You've been busy all day, you must be tired too, so don't massage my shoulders." With that, he took Lanqin's hand off his shoulder. "What did Yuyin just say to you?" Fourth Master was curious about what they had been talking about outside for so long; he had almost fallen asleep while waiting for Lanqin.
Lanqin didn't want the Fourth Master to know that Yuyin had come to her to complain, so she said perfunctorily, "It's just simple conversation between sisters, nothing special!" The Fourth Master knew that things were definitely not that simple, and that Lanqin was trying to hide something from him.
Lanqin looked at Fourth Master's face, her expression gradually changing. "Is this true?" Fourth Master asked.
Lanqin knew she couldn't fool the Fourth Prince, so she had no choice but to tell the truth: "Yuyin just came over and told me that the Seventeenth Prince's primary wife is pregnant."
"This is a good thing, why are you hiding it?" Fourth Master asked疑惑地, "Yu Yin is feeling a little uneasy..."
Lanqin explained. Although the Fourth Prince handled court affairs well, he didn't want to get involved in or think about the petty squabbles between women, except for matters related to Lanqin.

Lanqin understood that Fourth Master was reminding her to warn Yuyin not to do anything foolish.
"That's what I said too, Your Majesty, please rest assured." Lanqin knew that Yuyin had figured things out and wouldn't make a mistake.
"Fourth Master, are you hungry?" Lanqin thought that so much time had passed, and the Fourth Master must be hungry. Fortunately, she had just asked the servants to prepare food.
Fourth Master smiled and said, "Of course I'm hungry. I want to eat your cooking. It's been so long since I've had it."
At this moment, the Fourth Prince was like a child asking for candy, as cute as could be, completely different from the cold and aloof emperor he had been just moments before.
Lanqin was tired, but seeing how persistent he was in wanting to eat the food she had cooked, she softened. "Alright, Your Majesty, please rest here for now. I'll go to the kitchen to help out. I'll come and call Your Majesty when the food is ready."
Having achieved his goal, Fourth Master prepared to lie down and rest.
After Lanqin finished speaking, she left her bedroom to help in the kitchen. The servants, seeing the Empress personally going to the kitchen to cook, knew that the Emperor must have arrived. Every time the Emperor visited Changchun Palace, the Empress would personally cook several of his favorite dishes.
Before long, the aroma of the food filled the entire mansion. Lanqin asked the servants to invite the Fourth Prince, Hongli, Mingyu, and Xueying to come and eat together.
