Summer passed in the blink of an eye, and autumn arrived. The masters in various parts of Hongli's mansion received a batch of jewelry, all of which were in the hands of Fucha Mingyu, who distributed them to their respective places.
Fucha Mingyu glanced at the jewelry and muttered, "It's the same thing every year. I really don't know when this Prince's mansion will come up with something new!" As she spoke, she called her maid to her side.
"Go and summon Lady Gao. Tell her that I have important business to discuss with her."

The maid left, leaving only Fucha Mingyu in the room. Looking at the jewelry on the table, Fucha Mingyu fell into memories.
"Mingyu, shall I put this on you?" It was by a river in the suburbs, the first day Mingyu and Hongli met. She didn't know why, but after only knowing each other for a few days, her heart had been captivated.
"Okay, sure." Fucha Mingyu agreed shyly. Hongli gently placed the hairpin in Mingyu's hair.
"Is it pretty?" Mingyu asked nervously. Hongli looked at the girl in front of him and smiled without saying a word, which made Mingyu blush even more. Hongli couldn't bear to tease her any longer, so he quickly replied, "It's pretty! This hairpin suits you very well!"
Pulling herself back to reality, the jewelry on the table was cold and lifeless, like the hands of a dead person, devoid of warmth. She didn't want these worthless ornaments; she wanted Hongli's unwavering love. But all of that was ruined. Ulanara Xueying's presence had forcefully intruded, and the child in Su's womb had embarrassed her in public. She had to find a way… to get rid of these two.
A short while later, Lady Gao arrived. After greeting the principal wife, she asked her what was the matter.
"Madam, why have you come to see me?"
Mingyu composed herself and smiled at Madam Gao, saying, "It's good that I called you here. The Imperial Household Department distributed some jewelry today. Go and take a look, see if there's anything you like!"
Lady Gao hadn't expected that the Fujin (principal wife) had summoned her to choose jewelry. Seeing the gleaming items on the table when she entered only confirmed her suspicions. But usually, the Fujin would arrange everything and deliver it directly to the residence; why was she being asked to come and choose today? Though puzzled, she remained silent.
Madam Gao walked to the table, her eyes darting over the exquisitely crafted jewelry, unsure where to look. She particularly loved this jade hairpin, and her heart couldn't contain her excitement. But unsure whether the Fujin was telling the truth, she turned her head to steal a glance at her.
Fucha Mingyu observed her every move and said softly, "Go ahead and choose. I've already chosen my jewelry. The rest are for the concubine and the two princesses. Just pick whatever you like!"
Lady Gao understood the meaning behind Fucha Mingyu's words. As a secondary consort, she naturally wouldn't dare to complain, and the remaining Lady Su was a reward she deserved for serving the primary consort. Lady Gao was grateful and thought she would do her best to serve Fucha Mingyu in the future.
Lady Gao's eyes swept over the jewelry, carefully selecting her favorites. She thought to herself, "Following the First Princess, I can gain so many benefits. With Lady Su, I not only get nothing but also suffer mistreatment, fearing the First Princess might harm me." She couldn't help but think how blind she had been before. Following the First Princess, at least there are these advantages.
