Chapter 3352 Choosing a Son-in-Law

The group was chatting animatedly, unaware that Lanqin and the three princesses were watching them from outside the Jiaotai Palace. It turned out that Lanqin had already brought Qingshun, Qing'an, and Qingping into the room of the Jiaotai Palace to observe them.

Lanqin could vaguely hear them discussing the princesses, but they were too far away to hear what they were talking about.

"You all can stay here and admire their charm. If you find someone you like, remember their clothes and accessories when you get back. I'll have you write them down later, okay?" Due to their social status and the difference between men and women, this was the best arrangement Lanqin could make. She only hoped that they could find the greatest happiness.

Qing Shun and Qing Ping, being older, didn't seem to mind much. Qing An, hiding behind them, blushed with embarrassment. The four of them watched the talented scholar outside.

Lanqin took a liking to Ye Ci, so she looked at him a few more times. Ye Ci's appearance was quite good, and his speech and actions were also quite dignified. She just didn't know if his character was really as good as Hongli had said.

Qing Shun looked at the talented men outside, all of them tall and handsome, but her gaze kept lingering on a man in white with delicate features. Perhaps this was her destiny; she might spend the rest of her life with him.

Time flew by, and the five people outside were getting a little tired from talking. "Why hasn't the Emperor arrived yet?" Gao Xiu asked.

Ye Ci frowned as she looked at the man sitting next to her. "Your Majesty is busy with state affairs and has countless responsibilities. It is only right that we, as your subjects, wait here."

Lanqin stood behind the three princesses, accompanying them as they looked around for quite some time. The princesses should have seen enough by now. "Princesses, have you made your choices? Once you have, let's return to Changchun Palace."

All three said they had made their choices, so they returned to Changchun Palace. Lanqin summoned Lianqiu and asked her to prepare paper and pen. She then said to the three, "Write down the physical characteristics of your favorite talented man and some details you have observed. Remember, this is a major event in your lives, so treat it with care."

Seeing that they nodded, Lanqin went to the side hall to change her clothes. Qingshun wrote down the details of the white-clad man she had been longing for on a piece of paper. Recalling the man's appearance and his dashing movements, Qingshun was both excited and shy.

The three princesses wrote down the clothing of the men they admired on slips of paper.

A short while later, Lanqin returned. Qingshun and Qingping handed her the paper they had written on, but Qing'an hesitated. Lanqin noticed Qing'an's hesitation and stepped forward to ask, "Qing'an, where's your paper?"

Qing'an's face turned bright red, unsure of what to say, and she whispered, "Your Majesty, I... I don't have anyone I like."

Lanqin hadn't anticipated this situation, but she still respected Qing'an's idea.

"Qing'an, since there's no need, then don't force yourself. You're still young," Lanqin said.

Lanqin tried her best to calm Qing'an down, not wanting this incident to affect her. Besides, she was still young, and she would find a better husband for her in the future.

"Qingshun, Qingping. I will discuss their family backgrounds and character with the Emperor, and I will also consider your opinions. Just wait patiently," Lanqin said to them.

The three princesses responded in unison and then withdrew.
