As the Fourth Prince began preparing for his personal military campaign, Lanqin stayed in Changchun Palace to take care of her two grandsons. After spending a long time in Changchun Palace, Goguer and Sasar became quiet and peaceful, playing with their toys every day.
Lanqin came into the courtyard, where Gogel and Sasar were sitting and eating pastries. When Sasar saw Lanqin, she reached out to hug her, and Lanqin quickly stepped forward and embraced her, sitting down on the stone bench.
Goguer silently ate the osmanthus cake in his hand. "Goguer, why are you unhappy?"
Lanqin believed that Gogel was currently in a crucial stage of development; although still young, he was already beginning to form his own consciousness. Ushiha's absence would undoubtedly have some impact on him!
Goguer looked up at Lanqin and asked, "Grandmother, will Mother miss Goguer?" Sometimes Goguer wondered if he had been naughty, which was why his mother had left him.
"Of course she'll miss you! You and Sassar are the people she loves most, she'll definitely miss you!" Lanqin comforted her carefully, afraid that she might accidentally hurt Goger.
Hearing Lanqin's words, Goger felt a little better, and a smile appeared on his face. "Goger, do you miss your mother?" Lanqin had already advised Wuxiha not to go to Dayuan, but she insisted on going, leaving her two children all alone. It pained Lanqin to see that.
Gogol shook his head. "I don't want to. My mother is going to do something important, and I can't let her know that I miss her. Otherwise, she'll be too upset to do anything important." Gogol had a maturity beyond his years, which made Lanqin feel a little sad.
"Come on, Grandma will take you to play something fun!" Lanqin carried Sasar ahead, with Goger following behind. Lanqin led them to the place where Uxiha used to live. Although Uxiha had moved to the Princess's Mansion, Lanqin still sent people to clean her room every day, keeping it neat and tidy.
"This is the room where your mother lived when she was little. Here are also paintings that your mother's maternal grandmother commissioned to be painted when she was little!" Gogel turned over the scroll, and the girl in the painting was about the same age as himself.
"Grandmother, is this Mother when she was little?" Gogel asked, his dark eyes wide open. Lanqin smiled and said, "Yes, this is your Mother when she was little. She was about your age!"
Goguer curiously rummaged through the house, wanting to know everything about his mother's childhood. He saw a small sword and a long sword. "Is this also my mother's?"
"Yes, your mother was quite mischievous when she was little, always playing with things that boys play with." Gogel drew his sword from its sheath and brandished it. Lanqin was a little worried that he might hurt himself, so she had Nianxia take the sword away from Gogel's hand.
"Goger, do you like this sword?" Lanqin thought that this child really resembled Ushiha; she could see Ushiha's shadow in him.
Gogol nodded, and Lanqin said, "Then how about your grandmother gives you this sword?" Lanqin thought that perhaps she should find Gogol a teacher!
Gogol nodded excitedly, "But you have to promise your grandmother that you absolutely cannot play with this sword by yourself. How about your grandmother finds you a teacher?"
"Thank you, Grandmother!" Gogol agreed. Lanqin had Nianxia return the sword to Gogol, who gripped it tightly, his heart pounding with excitement.
