Hongxiang carefully observed the forest, his bow and arrow ready to fire at any moment, but he found no prey and could only leisurely ride his horse. Hearing a noise behind him, he turned and picked up his bow and arrow, preparing to shoot.
Startled, Qingluo raised her hand to cover her eyes. Upon seeing that it was Qingluo, Hongxiang quickly withdrew his bow and arrows. "I mistook her for prey, Miss Qingluo, I have been very rude!" Hongxiang apologized.
Qingluo then dared to open her eyes and gently kicked her horse forward. "Young master, what are you saying? I bumped into you by accident. How can you blame me?"
Looking at the alluring woman before him, Hongxiang felt a slight flutter in his heart, and his words carried a hint of jealousy. "I thought Miss Qingluo had gone with the Fifth Prince!"
Qingluo gave a wicked smile, her alluring eyes, like vines, fixed intently on Hongxiang. "I only flattered and fawned over Fifth Prince because he's my patron… actually… actually…"
"Actually what?" Hongxiang asked, forced to know what Qingluo was about to say. "Actually, I've been in love with you at first sight!" Qingluo's eyes were alluring, stirring Hongxiang's heartstrings.
A smile played on Hongxiang's lips; he was smitten. After all, it was rare for a woman of Qingluo's stunning beauty to take the initiative to say she liked him. Besides, most men would have pounced on her long ago!
Qinglu smiled disdainfully. Hongxiang in front of her was already smug because of her few words. Sure enough, all men in the world are equally lustful, except for... that Fifth Prince just now. She begged him in every way, but he was unmoved. Thinking of this, Qinglu became more and more tempted.
Although Hongxiang appeared to know little about matters of love and sex, he had never actually loved a woman. Hongxiang turned around and said, "Then... Qingluo, Miss Qingluo, please follow me!" Qingluo reluctantly followed slowly behind Hongxiang.
Soon, the prey finally stirred, and rustling sounds filled the bushes. Hongxiang picked up his bow and arrow, listened carefully to the direction from which the sounds came, and fired, hitting the prey squarely.
Hongxiang usually enjoys hunting, and now that he has a beautiful woman by his side, he gets carried away and almost hits every arrow, killing a lot of prey.
Seeing this, Qingluo's palms sweated with nervousness. It seemed she had underestimated him. If Hongxiang had hunted more animals than Hongzhou, wouldn't she have become his prize?
So Qingluo turned to the side and fell off the horse. Startled, the horse kicked its hooves and ran towards the wide roadside.
Hearing the commotion, Hongxiang saw the beauty fall to the ground and hurriedly dismounted, running to Qingluo's side to help her up. "What happened? Why did you suddenly fall off your horse?" Hongxiang anxiously checked Qingluo for any injuries.
Qinglu patted her head and said softly, "I don't know either. Maybe it's because I ran for too long and got tired. I feel a little dizzy!" Qinglu pretended to faint.
Hongxiang quickly helped her up. He looked around; it was the time when prey were out hunting, and if they didn't hunt now, it would be difficult to catch anything later. He then looked at the weak woman in front of him and asked, "Why don't we rest for a while?" Qingluo nodded, and Hongxiang helped her to sit down to the side.
The attendants quickly led the horse away.
