Chapter 3552 Skateboard

Hongli was in charge of leading people to make skis. For ease of combat, he and several soldiers carried firewood and shaved it into the size and thickness of skis.

Hongli remembered that his mother used to take him skiing in winter. The skis she made were special; they were tied to his feet so he could ski freely in the snow.

That winter, his mother mysteriously said she would take him skiing. He didn't think it was very interesting, but his mother always had some fun things to do from time to time.

What's more, her mother had been teasing her that day, speaking in a mysterious way, so she went with her mother.

Later, my mother actually came up with this novel gadget, which she tied to her leg and used to slide around in the snow. It was so much fun!

Having witnessed her masterpiece, Hongli led his soldiers to make it according to what he had been taught before.

Within a few days, all 20,000 soldiers were equipped with skis.

As night fell, the white expanse on the horizon gradually darkened.

Hongli entered the imperial tent and said, "The skis have been made, and every soldier has been equipped with them."

The Fourth Prince looked at Hongli with admiration; Hongli was indeed someone who could be trusted to do things well.

That thirteenth prince, however, is truly a headache.

"Hongli, you're quick and clever in doing things," the Thirteenth Prince said in surprise.

Hongli simply smiled and said, "You flatter me. Let's get back to business."

After Hongli sat down, the Fourth Prince said, "Now we need to find a route for a surprise attack, one that can strike without alerting the enemy, catching them off guard."

"The enemy is in this direction, but their encampment is exposed. How can we find a place to launch a surprise attack?" Hongli asked solemnly.

Thirteenth Master looked at the map, fiddled with it for a while, and pointed at the map, saying, "I think we can ambush them halfway. When the enemy comes to our army, they will bypass a forest. Perhaps we can launch a surprise attack from the forest."

When Seventeenth Master saw that Thirteenth Master was pointing to a bare grove of trees near the enemy lines, he asked, "How can we provide cover? This grove of trees is bare in winter."

"Judging from this situation, we can find some cover. The withered leaves falling in the woods might be a good omen," Fourth Master said.

Thirteen raised an eyebrow. "Then we'll lure the enemy to the slope, where our troops will ambush them again. Once they come up, we'll slaughter them all."

"Good idea," the Seventeenth Prince said with a smile, and the other deputy generals nodded in agreement.

"And who led the ambush in the woods?" Hongli raised the crux of the question.

The ambush in the woods is very important; one careless move and you'll be beheaded. We should choose a heavy but clever and capable soldier.

“Brother, let me do it.” Thirteen patted his chest.

"No." Fourth Master shook his head. He understood the deeper meaning in Hongli's words. This matter was indeed of great importance, and manpower had to be arranged properly.

"Why?" Thirteen felt a surge of anger welling up inside him, unable to utter a sound.

"Your body can't be overworked anymore."

"Your Majesty, I've recovered long ago. If you don't believe me, I'll show you what I can do." Thirteen was naturally unconvinced by Fourth Prince's words.

“Brother, let me do it,” said the Seventeenth Prince.

The Fourth Prince pondered for a moment, and after a long while said, "Thirteenth Prince, let Seventeenth Prince handle this matter. I know your health well."

Upon hearing this, the thirteenth prince was utterly perplexed, but he couldn't go against the fourth prince's wishes. Unable to defy the emperor's will, he had no choice but to compromise.
