Chapter 3827 Encountering Yonglian

Unlike the bustling Jingyang Palace, Yikun Palace was much quieter.

After finishing their meal, Xueying took A'luo's hand and went to the Imperial Garden to see the autumn flowers. Although the flowers in autumn had lost some of their color, they had a unique charm.

The Imperial Garden in autumn was rather deserted, but Xueying liked the tranquility very much. This was why she didn't go to Jingyang Palace to curry favor with Consort Jia, who had returned home with her son, like everyone else. It seemed that other people's liveliness had nothing to do with her.

Just then, a little figure suddenly rushed out from behind the artificial hill and bumped right into the unsuspecting Xueying. Luckily, A'luo, who was quick-witted and agile, was there to support Xueying, otherwise Xueying would most likely have been knocked down.

A'Luo angrily scolded the person who had rushed over, "How dare you disturb Consort Xian!"

After Xueying regained her footing, A'luo wanted to go forward and teach that person a lesson, but Xueying stopped her and said softly, "He didn't mean it."

After speaking, Xueying reached out to help the person who had fallen to the ground. When Xueying saw that the child was Yonglian, she quickly squatted down, patted the dust off Yonglian's body, and asked softly, "Did you hurt yourself?"

Yonglian looked at Xueying with some fear and replied softly, "No."

Xueying looked Yonglian up and down and, seeing that he was indeed alright, she felt relieved.

Seeing Yonglian's adorable appearance, Xueying's heart melted. However, Yonglian should be in the Xiefang Palace at this time, so why did he end up in the Imperial Garden?

So, with some doubt in her heart, Xueying asked gently, "Why didn't you come to Xiefang Palace? Why did you come here?"

Upon hearing Xueying's words, Yonglian looked somewhat nervous. After all, if the governess found out that he had come to the Imperial Garden without permission, the Empress Dowager would definitely give him a good scolding. Yonglian pursed his lips, unsure of what to say.

Xueying naturally noticed the struggle on Yonglian's face, so she pinched Yonglian's cheek and said with a smile, "I won't mention it to anyone, so don't worry."

Looking at the gentle and pleasant Xueying, Yonglian made no attempt to hide anything, "I heard a few meows from a cat and followed it here."

Upon hearing Yonglian's words, Xueying looked around, but she couldn't find the cat Yonglian had mentioned. She hadn't heard any cat meowing when she was admiring the autumn flowers in the Imperial Garden, so she asked with some suspicion, "I haven't seen any cats in this Imperial Garden."

Upon hearing Xueying's words, Yonglian was worried that Xueying thought he was deceiving her, so he quickly said, "Your Highness, I really saw it just now, so I couldn't help but follow you."

Looking at Yonglian's big, round eyes and his tightly clenched little hands, Xueying felt even more adorable for him, so she smiled and said, "How about I help you find this little kitten?"

Upon hearing Xueying's words, a hint of surprise flashed in Yonglian's eyes. He had thought that Xueying would think he was neglecting his duties, just like his mother. He did not expect that Xueying would accompany him on his search.

So, fearing that Xueying might change her mind, Yonglian quickly nodded and said with a smile, "Okay!"

So, Xueying, feeling playful, went with Yonglian to find the cat.
