Chapter 845 Fourth Master is So Ruthless

After finishing, Lanqin angrily buttoned up her clothes, crawled out from among the wildflowers, and saw Muxue grazing on the hillside not far away. Fourth Master climbed up from behind her with a satisfied look, picked the wildflowers off his head, chuckled a few times, and followed Lanqin up the slope.

"Look, look, what are you looking at? This is all your master's doing. Didn't he already favor that Nian woman? Why are you acting like a monk who has never eaten meat, staring at her and wanting to eat meat as soon as you arrive?" Lanqin said to Muxue with her back to the Fourth Master, hands on her hips.

The Fourth Master was initially laughing as he listened to Lanqin arguing with Muxue, but his face darkened as he heard more.

"Ah!!" Before Lanqin could finish cursing, she was suddenly picked up by the Fourth Master around the waist.

"I still have meat to eat!!" Fourth Master stared at Lanqin and said fiercely.

Lanqin didn't expect Fourth Master's face to change so quickly. Before she could figure out what she had done to offend him, Fourth Master had already dragged her back to the flower bushes.

"You bastard, Yinzhen!" Lanqin scolded in a delicate voice, but in the end, all that could be heard was the rustling sound of clothes being tugged.

Originally, the Fourth Master had only come briefly because he was in the middle of nowhere. But hearing Lanqin's words now revealed his true, ruthless nature.

How cruel! How barbaric!

Lanqin silently protested beneath Fourth Master, suppressing her immense shame. In her heart, she had already cursed him to the core, but she dared not say anything more, fearing that he would punish her in this way again and again.

"How long has it been since he slept with a woman? Why is he so craving?" Lanqin rolled her eyes at Fourth Master a hundred times in her mind, fuming.

After our Fourth Master finally finished his meal, Lanqin felt as if her waist was about to be broken by that cunning man, and she was right there in the middle of the flower garden, without even a cloth to cover herself.

Meanwhile, Su Peisheng had already arrived at the main tent, with Cui Niang keeping him company as they spoke, while everyone else was busy with their assigned tasks. Su Peisheng glanced at the five girls, then pulled Cui Niang aside and said, "These five girls are too beautiful. Having a concubine by your side is not a good thing."

Cui Niang naturally understood Su Peisheng's meaning and said, "The concubine is kind-hearted and magnanimous; she never thought of that. I will keep a close eye on these maids."

Su Peisheng nodded and then told Cui Niang about the matters concerning Lady Nian and Lady Yehe in the mansion.

At this moment, we saw Fourth Master and Lanqin riding horses, but instead of riding in front of Fourth Master, Lanqin was riding behind him.

Su Peisheng hurried over to help the two dismount. When everyone saw that their masters had returned, they all kept to their duties and no one dared to make any jokes.

The two children were brought over for Fourth Master to see, but Lanqin still seemed angry. She abandoned the father and son and went into the tent alone.

"Master, everything is ready, we can start the barbecue. What happened between you and Fourth Master? He's come all this way, please don't get angry over something so trivial." Seeing Lanqin like this, Cui Niang quickly followed her into the tent and said.

"Then let's grill it." Lanqin rolled her eyes inwardly, thinking: That's a small matter!

Fourth Master chatted with Cui Da and Cui Er about crops. Cui Da and Cui Er were surprised that someone as noble as Fourth Master could talk about crops so knowledgeably.

Lanqin, Aunt Cui, and Aunt Cui watched the spinning wheel of Wuxiha together, while Xichen was being led by Chen Shou and Su Peisheng to ride the little horse. The two children's laughter echoed across the empty grassland.

Nianxue, Xicha, and the five maids were all busy at the barbecue grill.

The weather is nice, the flowers are fragrant, the children are laughing, and everyone has something to do.

“Consort, this old woman wants to say that the Fourth Prince is truly a good man. You must hold on to him tightly,” said Granny Cui in her local accent to Lanqin. “Auntie, how do you know he’s a good man?” Lanqin asked with a smile. She quite enjoyed chatting with Granny Cui.

“Look, how noble is the Fourth Prince? He even knows about farming. That shows he cares about us common people. Such a good official is a blessing for the people.” Although Aunt Cui couldn’t read a single word, she still managed to say these words.

Lanqin was slightly surprised and had no words to refute him. She couldn't help but glance at Fourth Master's back a few times, as if he was having a pleasant conversation with Cui Da and Cui Er.

But the man's ferocious appearance behind the scenes was truly terrifying!! Lanqin still trembled when she remembered the two times Fourth Master had embraced her among the wildflowers!!

"Concubine, you should hurry up and have more children so you can keep your husband's heart," Aunt Cui began to nag again.

Lanqin glanced helplessly at Cui Niang, only to see her looking at her with a grin.

"Yes, I'll try to have four or five of them, and keep Fourth Master by my side." Lanqin said with a smile. Talking to an old lady like Aunt Cui felt like talking to her own grandmother. No matter whether the old lady's words were right or wrong, there was always a sense of happiness in being pampered and cared for.

"Auntie, you should talk to your daughter first. How old is Cui Niang? She should find a good family, have children, and start a family. I feel bad seeing her all alone like this." Lanqin smiled and stuck out her tongue at Cui Niang, as if to say, "I'll let you experience what it's like to be nagged too."

"Oh, I've told her this so many times. But she insists she won't marry until she finds the right person. In my opinion, she should just find a farmer's family in this village, marry into their household, and have children. Feelings will develop over time." Aunt Cui glared at Cui Niang, looking utterly disappointed.

"Mother, please don't talk nonsense in front of the concubine." Cui Niang's face turned red.

Lanqin was overjoyed to see Cui Niang, who was usually quite composed in front of her, showing such girlish behavior.

The aroma of the barbecue began to waft out, and the Fourth Prince, in a moment of joy, had Cui Da and Cui Er sit with him at the table that had been set out, to drink and dine together. Cui Da and Cui Er were both rough men, and had never dined at the same table as a prince before. But the Fourth Prince insisted that they sit with him, and Lanqin pulled Cui Da Niang to sit down as well.

After all the roasted food was served on this table, Cui Niang led her maids to set up a table for herself, serving the food to the other side while eating as she went.

Su Peisheng served the Fourth Master, busily pouring him wine and doing other things.

“Master Cui, how could a place with good weather and plenty of labor have a poor harvest?” Fourth Master suddenly asked.

"Either they didn't farm properly, or they lied," Cui said, taking a swig of wine.
