Chapter 700 Trap

Cui Da and Cui Er ran in different directions. Chen Shou followed closely behind Cui Da, not daring to go anywhere wrong, because Cui Da had told him that he must follow closely and not take a wrong step.

From their interactions over the past few days, Chen Shou had discovered that although Old Cui was just a farmer, he was very meticulous in his work, a man of both roughness and shrewdness. His insistence on not making a mistake meant he must have a plan in mind.

Although the man in black was skilled in martial arts, he couldn't use his skills in this place full of trees and weeds. Because he was unfamiliar with the terrain, he was no faster than Cui Laoda and Cui Laoer.

And so, Cui Lao Da and Cui Lao Er each led a few men in a chase through the woods. Chen Shou followed behind Cui Lao Da, his breath ragged. He looked back and saw three men in black chasing after him relentlessly. At this rate, they would catch up sooner or later.

"Brother Cui, they're sticking close, we can't shake them off at all!" Chen Shou shouted to Brother Cui as he ran for his life.

However, Boss Cui completely ignored him and only said, "Stay close to me!!"

After saying this, Boss Cui suddenly chuckled strangely twice. Chen Shou thought he had misheard, but it was indeed him who made the sound.

Just as Chen Shou was wondering why he was laughing, he suddenly saw Cui Laoda stop in his tracks, then turn a corner and run past. Chen Shou didn't understand why he did this, but he followed him, turned a corner, and continued running. They were still running on the same road, but it seemed that the two of them had deliberately avoided something.

The three men in black behind them didn't notice their little tricks and continued to follow closely behind.

Suddenly, the ground beneath the feet of the two people running ahead sank. Before they could even use their skills, a net fell from the sky and covered their bodies, causing them to fall into a large pit filled with bamboo swords.

Chen Shou heard a "hiss..." behind him. Turning around, he saw that two men were missing. The leader, dressed in black, stood there watching his two accomplices fall into the deep pit used for hunting wild animals. There was no hope of saving them; both had been impaled by bamboo sticks, blood gushing out. But they couldn't die immediately. The gruesome sight...

"Boss, just give us a quick death!!" one of them struggled to speak, his face contorted in pain.

The leader glared at the direction Chen Shou and his companions had fled, his eyes practically burning with fury. Then he raised his sword and instantly killed his comrade, followed by the second.

"Brother Cui, it seems they've abandoned two people, and their leader is running towards us again. What should we do?" Chen Shou said happily. This Brother Cui is really capable; he actually thought of using animal traps to catch these people.

"Run! There's an even bigger one waiting for him!!" Old Cui carried his grandmother on his back without seeming tired at all.

Meanwhile, one of the two men in black following Cui Lao Er was caught in a trap, his leg caught in it, and he could only sit there, unable to stand up. The other was also hanging upside down from a tree, unable to get down.

Cui Lao Er took a stone and smashed it hard against the person hanging upside down, causing him to bleed profusely from the head.

"Today, I will make you bleed to death. My wife was killed by you beasts, as were my sister-in-law and niece. You don't even spare women and children. You deserve to die." Cui Lao Er became more and more agitated as he spoke, and then picked up a stone from the ground and started smashing it around.

He continued until the man was knocked unconscious, blood dripping from his head. Remembering the man caught in the trap, Cui Lao Er hurried back to find him.

The man was struggling to pry open the trap that held the wild animal, but to no avail. He was in so much pain that he wanted to draw his sword and cut off his own leg, but he couldn't bring himself to do it.

Cui Lao Er moved a large rock and sneaked up behind the man...

Meanwhile, Boss Cui and Chen Shou continued running forward. This time, Chen Shou was more confident, knowing that Boss Cui was deliberately leading the people behind him into the animal trap, so he wasn't in such a hurry.

The man behind him understood this time as well. He had to follow Boss Cui's footsteps closely and not change the route at all, otherwise he would suffer the same fate as the two who died in the pit.

They had carried out many missions before, but they had never suffered such a great loss before. Their hatred for Boss Cui intensified. He followed him closely, determined not to let him go.

Cui Laoda was finally exhausted, and Chen Shou had long since reached his limit. The two slowly stopped, and the people behind them were in hot pursuit, soon to be right in front of them.

Seeing that the people in front of him had suddenly stopped, the man in black dared not approach easily, fearing that some trap awaited him.

Old Master Cui put down his mother and said to Chen Shou, "You keep a close eye on my mother. I'm going to have a go at that guy."

Old Master Cui, trident in hand, turned back to face the direction he had come from. He saw the man in black standing several feet away from him, not daring to approach easily. The two of them stood like two true martial arts masters, watching each other intently from the bushes.

Neither side would act rashly; they were both waiting for the other to make a move so they could strike at the other's weakness.

Chen Shou helped Aunt Cui take a few steps forward, but dared not go any further, because he did not know if there were any traps ahead.

The sword in the black-clad man's hand gleamed in the afternoon sunlight, while his master stood there like a block of ice, his icy eyes fixed on the farmer in the gray jacket in front of him.

"You bastard, I have no grudge against you, yet you killed my whole family and still won't let us go. Today I'll settle this with you. Come on!" Old Cui shouted with a touch of valor, brandishing his trident at the man in black.

However, the man in black stood there motionless as if rooted to the spot, as if he was certain there was a trap in front of Boss Cui and therefore dared not act rashly.

"What, scared? If you're scared, go back and tell your master that we will not be slaughtered by her. My sister and I will definitely avenge our family!" Old Cui shouted. Chen Shou watched this scene and felt that it was truly admirable for a peasant to say such words to a well-trained assassin.

Suddenly, the man in black leaped up, using his light-footed skill to fly over. Boss Cui quickly retreated a few steps, raising his trident. But the man in black had already jumped almost to his face, then brandished his sword, aiming for Boss Cui's face.
