Chapters 2970 and 2981: All were drugged.

Zhu Wanqing felt the whole house shaking, the sound of doors and windows banging grew louder and louder, and a strong wind picked up. Zhu Wanqing was so frightened that she threw off the quilt and crawled inside.

After shivering for a long time, the outside world calmed down. Zhu Wanqing could only hear her heart pounding. She braced herself and carefully pulled open the quilt a little.

There was no sound outside!

Zhu Wanqing breathed heavily, her blood boiling, her heart pounding in her chest as if it would fly away. Suppressing her sobs, she tentatively asked in a soft voice, "Is anyone there? Is anyone home?"

The room was filled with an atmosphere of unease. Zhu Wanqing clenched her teeth, her wide pupils filled with terror. Only after confirming that there was nothing unusual in the room did she dare to slowly crawl out from under the covers, calling out in a tearful voice, "Your Highness, Your Highness, where are you? Your Highness..." But the Fourteenth Prince did not seem to be in the room.

Creak! Zhu Wanqing's heart skipped a beat, and she looked up warily, asking, "Who's there?" The swaying shadow cast on the floor by the window hadn't stopped. Moonlight streamed through the open doors and windows, casting dappled shadows on the trees outside. The room was pitch black, with only a few dark, indistinct shadows visible. Zhu Wanqing, holding onto the bed frame, got out of bed barefoot and fumbled around in front of her eyes.

"Help! Help!" Zhu Wanqing shouted with all her might. She could hardly remember the lives of the maids, and could only keep shouting, "Is anyone there? Is anyone there?"

But no one responded. Ever since the last incident, Zhu Wanqing had her maidservant stand guard outside her door every night before she went to sleep. The maidservant, who usually stood guard outside, should have been woken up by her calls. Zhu Wanqing suddenly felt something was wrong, and a chill ran through her body.

"How could this be? How could this be?" Zhu Wanqing froze instantly, fine beads of sweat appearing on her forehead, her legs trembling slightly, and a chill emanating from her back, as if a biting wind had pierced through her body. She stiffly hunched over, all her muscles tense, her throat slightly hoarse as she kept repeating the same words.

After taking a few steps, she bumped into something, and the sharp pain made Zhu Wanqing's knee bend, almost causing her to fall. Fortunately, she managed to brace herself firmly on the table with one hand. Ignoring her injured knee, Zhu Wanqing reached out and began to grope haphazardly on the table.

"Candle, candle..." Zhu Wanqing seemed to be able to suppress the terror in her heart only by relying on her own voice. The more anxious she became, the less she could find it. Zhu Wanqing was soaked in sweat. Her hands trembled and she accidentally knocked the items on the table away. With a dull thud, Zhu Wanqing immediately knelt on the ground and groped around.

With great difficulty, he managed to grab the candlestick, struggled to get up, and painstakingly lit the flame, gradually brightening the room.

"Your Highness?" Zhu Wanqing called out cautiously by the light of the candlestick. Everything in the room was as before, as if no ghostly attack had ever occurred. Zhu Wanqing felt a tightness in her heart and rushed to the door.

Just as she stepped out the door, she kicked something soft and almost fell again. Zhu Wanqing turned around sharply and saw two maids leaning against the door frame, motionless.

"You damned thing!" Zhu Wanqing cursed angrily, but the maid seemed to have no reaction at all.

When Zhu Wanqing bent down to take a closer look while holding the candlestick, she found that the two maids were sleeping soundly and showed no intention of waking her up.
