Zhangjia didn't go too far; she only asked Yunyi to take a look.
Her intention was simply to have Yunyi visit him occasionally when she wasn't busy, so that the palace maids and eunuchs wouldn't dare to neglect their son; that was all, and she didn't need to take care of him with great care.
But Yun Yi thought that he would be Yinzhen's good brother in the future, so he made things more difficult for himself and did more things.
After several busy days, we finally got everything settled for Yinxiang. He's a kind-hearted boy, and he even came over to thank his fourth brother and sister-in-law for taking care of him.
Seeing the six-year-old Pudding thanking her so earnestly, Yunyi found it a little funny.
She patted his little head and replied meaningfully, "You don't need to thank us. Just study hard, strengthen yourself, and don't let your mother worry."
Feeling warm inside, enveloped in a gentle warmth, Yinxiang blinked, trying to control himself and stop the tears from falling.
His mother said that a real man should not shed tears easily, and he told himself that in his heart.
Nodding firmly, Yinxiang kept his fourth sister-in-law's words in mind: "Don't worry, fourth sister-in-law, Yinxiang will remember them and will definitely study hard in the future."
For several days, his fourth sister-in-law hadn't come to bring him pastries, and Yinzhen was getting a craving. That day after school, instead of going back to his own place, he happily followed his fourth brother to his place.
Yin Tang watched helplessly as his good brother, the Tenth Prince Yin Yi, left with the Fourth Prince. But he wasn't the only one who left; the Thirteenth Prince, who had only recently entered the Imperial Study, followed behind.
With his arms crossed, Yinzhen stood there, wondering why everyone was heading towards the cold-faced iceberg.
After thinking for a while, he couldn't suppress his curiosity and followed them over.
After the eighth prince, Yinzhi, asked the teacher a question, he ran out and saw that the two figures who should have been waiting outside, the ninth and tenth brothers, were not there.
He shook his head, thinking that his two younger brothers probably couldn't wait and went back first. He generously didn't hold it against them and packed his things to go back to his residence.
Many years later, he suddenly realized that this day had become a turning point in his life, and from then on, his two little admirers would belong to someone else.
He followed Yinzhen all the way to his place. Needless to say, this was his home, and it was only natural for him to come home.
Yinxiang and Yinzhi, having visited many times, were quite familiar with the place and behaved very naturally.
But Yinzhen was different. He didn't have a very good relationship with Yinzhen, and he would never visit his fourth brother's residence except for important occasions.
So ever since he called these brothers to the door and shamelessly came in, Yinzhen had been feeling a bit awkward.
After following his brothers into the fourth brother's study, the awkwardness intensified.
The study was decorated just like the fourth brother's personality: cold, rigid, and devoid of any scholarly atmosphere; it was old-fashioned and gloomy.
Unlike his study, which was filled with glittering gold accessories and jewels, even the bookshelves were decorated with jade vases, making it very beautiful.
It has to be said that Yinzhen really hated a person, and hated everything about him. He disliked Yinzhen, and even found Yinzhen's study extremely unpleasant.
Yinzhen sat directly at his desk and coldly invited his three younger brothers to sit down.
Yinxiang was the most well-behaved. He sat down next to his fourth brother, his little face full of seriousness, doing his homework. If he encountered something he didn't understand, he could easily ask Yinzhen next to him.
Yinzhen, on the other hand, was nonchalant and ignored the cold aura emanating from his fourth brother. He lazily sat down on the other chair and casually picked up a piece of pastry to eat.
At this moment, several plates of pastries were already laid out on the small table in front of him. Even though Yinzhen was well-traveled and knowledgeable, there were several kinds of pastries that he had never seen or eaten before.
Fortunately, Yinzhen was not stingy. While eating, he mumbled a message to Yinzhen to come and eat as well.
"Ninth Brother, come and try this. This cloud leaf cake is delicious. It's one of Fourth Sister-in-law's best pastries. I guarantee you'll love the taste after just one bite."
Disapproving, Yinzhen scoffed, thinking, "It's just a pastry, how delicious can it be?"
But no one can escape the "it smells so good" phenomenon. He casually picked up a piece of pastry to taste, and after taking a bite, Yin Tang was truly amazed.
He usually only liked money, or expensive, shiny things, and didn't care much about food. He never expected that this ordinary pastry would taste better than all the pastries he had eaten in the previous nine years.
He knew that his fourth sister-in-law was very capable, and he had also heard his tenth brother say that she was a very good cook, but he had never tasted her cooking before and did not know how good it was. Today, after trying it, he found that it was indeed well-deserved.
After eating one piece, Yinzhen touched another, his eyes lighting up as he ate.
Yin is usually carefree, but he is surprisingly sensitive when it comes to food, especially delicious food.
He keenly sensed that Ninth Brother had also fallen in love with these pastries. Afraid that Ninth Brother would take them from him, Yinzhen began to devour them ravenously, wolfing down several plates of pastries.
Not to be outdone, Yinzhen started fighting with his younger brother for food. In no time, the two brothers had finished the several plates of pastries that Yunyi had specially prepared on the small table.
Seeing that all his food had been eaten, Yinzhen was on the verge of tears. How could Ninth Brother eat so much? Didn't he dislike these sweet and greasy things? Why was he so eager to take them from me?
Waaah, my snacks! My fourth sister-in-law specially prepared these snacks for me, and they're all gone before I've even had a chance to eat much of them.
Seeing his tenth brother's mournful face, with tears welling up in his eyes, Yinzhen awkwardly touched his head, feeling that he must have been bewitched just now. How could he have competed with his younger brother for food?
