Chapter 78 Consort Song (7)

Looking down at her stomach, Li Wanrou felt a little deflated. Why didn't I have her luck?

Just after the court session, Yinzhen heard from Su Peisheng that Lady Song was pregnant again. His usually icy face softened with tenderness, and he was overjoyed.

With a slight smile playing on his lips, Yinzhen bowed his head and instructed Su Peisheng, "Go tell Granny Zhou to open the storeroom and find some good things to send to Princess Song."

Su Peisheng nodded in agreement.

That evening, as expected, Yinzhen came to Yunyi's place.

Hongyao was overjoyed to see his father coming and hugged his father tightly. Hutuli followed suit and ran over to hug his father as well.

Yinzhen was having a great time dealing with the two little devils all by himself.

Yunyi sat quietly to the side, watching the family of four in a very warm and loving atmosphere.

Bai Zhi, who was waiting inside the room, was also pleased to see this scene.

With the presence of the eldest prince and princess, the master already enjoys more favor than others. Now that the master is pregnant again, she will surely be promoted this time.

After a long while, the two little ones got tired of playing. Yinzhen instructed the wet nurse to take them down to sleep, and then pulled Yunyi aside, saying that he had something to say.

"The mansion outside the palace is almost finished being renovated. Father Khan said that I can choose a time to move out. I would like to ask what kind of courtyard you like, and I will arrange it for you."

Yunyi was somewhat surprised. Weren't these kinds of things usually arranged by him, the prince, or his wife? Why would he ask her, the person directly involved?

However, since she had been asked, she naturally wouldn't refuse. After a moment's thought, Yunyi looked at Yinzhen and shared her thoughts.

"Since you've asked, I'll naturally tell you the truth, so I won't stand on ceremony. I'd like a spacious courtyard with a nice view, and it would be even better if there were peach trees in it."

Yinzhen listened attentively. Song's request was nothing unusual. She had many children and was currently pregnant, so a larger courtyard would make it easier for the children to move around.

He pondered which courtyard would be suitable and finally nodded in agreement.

The next day, Yinzhen went to his wife's room to discuss the allocation of courtyards with her.

Ulanara naturally wouldn't object; as the primary consort, she wouldn't resort to underhanded tactics in such matters.

Early that morning, Yunyi got up. Don't misunderstand, she wasn't going to the main courtyard to pay her respects to the Fujin today, but to move.

A few days ago, the Fourth Prince announced the moving date. Yunyi had already instructed the servants to pack up her things in her room and was just waiting for the Princess Consort's notification so she could get on the carriage and leave the palace.

After leisurely enjoying her last breakfast in the palace, Yunyi waited a while longer before receiving a message from the Fujin (principal wife).

There was no way around it; it was moving day, and Ulanara, the primary consort, was the busiest, having to give orders and check things. She was incredibly busy.

Finally, they boarded the carriage, which swayed and rocked all the way until they reached their destination. Yunyi was almost asleep again.

Bai Zhi got off first, and Yun Yi helped her down from the carriage by stepping on the stool.

Following behind the Fujin, the group entered the Fourth Prince's residence. A round-faced palace maid came to Yunyi and led her to her courtyard.

It has to be said that the Fourth Prince's residence is really big. Yunyi walked for quite a long time, passing through several moon gates and several corridors before finally arriving.

Looking up at the plaque above the entrance to Taowu Courtyard, Yunyi murmured softly, "This name is quite nice."

Leading Bai Zhi inside, the interior was indeed to her liking. The three-courtyard house was quite large, and the first thing she saw was a peach tree on the left side of the courtyard, but it was a bit small and must have been newly planted.

Seeing that Consort Song's gaze fell on the peach tree, the round-faced palace maid explained, "Your Highness, there were no trees in this courtyard originally. It was the Fourth Prince who said that you liked peach trees, so he specially ordered the craftsmen to plant them for you."

Nodding to show she understood, Yunyi felt a warm feeling welling up inside her. This cold-faced iceberg was actually quite thoughtful.

With Bai Zhi behind them, the master and servant took a short stroll around the courtyard, while the others went to tidy up the house.

Not long after, Bai Yu, a second-class palace maid, came to report that everything was ready, and Yun Yi then entered the place where she would be living for a long time.

Apart from the different room size, the interior was furnished exactly the same as the one in the prince's quarters.

The familiar layout gave Yunyi a sense of belonging to this new place.

After everyone was settled, Yunyi learned from Baizhi where Li Gege lived.

The principal wife, being the legal wife, naturally lived in the main courtyard, while Consort Li lived in the Fangfei Courtyard, which was located on the western side of the mansion.

Yunyi's Peach Blossom Courtyard was on the east side, Li Wanrou's was on the west side, and the Fujin's was in the middle; the three of them lived in a rather symmetrical arrangement.

Half a month later, an imperial edict shattered the peace in the prince's residence.
